Side Steps / Running Boards recommendations?

Hi All,

Just curious which side steps/running boards you picked and why. I like the Unplugged Performance and Lucky's Fabshop iterations the best so far. Higher priced but keeps the look I like. Looking to see what others went with and thoughts after installation.

The best part is they are metal, so if any @sshole wants to open or slam their door against my vehicle, they will end up damaging theirs not mine.

T-sport line side steps/ rocker panel protectors wrapped in xpel armor.
Why? Great step for kids; don’t change the appearance much, offer some protection for the crappy plastic rockers, attach to factory screw holes, slightly wider than the body so if anyone opens a door next to you in the parking lot it hits that and not your ppf.
The xpel armor part was to integrate it more with the rest of my parts which were already wrapped.

I agree. These two are the ones I'd pick. After reading a bit deeper I noticed the Unplugged Performance are rockers and sliders with integrated steps that replace the plastic.

I hear you. I generally subscribe to the buy once cry once philosophy on this stuff. If you’re OCD like me you will eventually end up buying what you want anyway. If you buy it off the bat, you’ll spend less money and have less junk in your garage when it’s all said and done. At least, that’s what I tell my wife.
Can I ask what’s the main reason you want them? If it’s for protection the Tesla terrestrial armor package seems like a better deal and results in less range hit on an EV. Also protects the bottom/battery which is way more important for pretty close to the same amount.

If it’s for ergonomics of stepping despite entry mode there seem to be better options for that too. This includes the ones on my truck but even nicer I think are cybertruckco’s version.
I’m referring to these but I believe there is a beefier version but with no step.

It would be hard to persuade me to spend money on something that reduces the ground clearance but there are people who love that kind of stuff. No judgment. The second ones you listed kind of look like that. There is also a fancy retractable electronic version made by the usual Chinese suspects.
Certainly can’t recommend any one of them specifically but here is an example.

I tried to have a simple OEM look, so I went with the Tsportline AeroMaxx running boards.

They were easy to install, and with high quality.

So far, I like them.

I like those a lot too design-wise. When I bought my steps from t-sportline I don’t think they were available yet. They were some of the first to market and I really needed something to make the car accessible for my small kids

If you’re going for that sort of thing, like the eBay ones, I know @Tesstudio regularly offers significant discount codes on them. Seems to be their favorite thing to discount heavily to lure in customers.
