I have the unplugged performance set.. I don't regret it for a minute and happy I didn't let the cost deter me after seeing some of these other ones in person as of late.I am looking at these two so far but price is holding me back.

I picked these because I thought they were the best for the money and look great:Hi All,
Just curious which side steps/running boards you picked and why. I like the Unplugged Performance and Lucky's Fabshop iterations the best so far. Higher priced but keeps the look I like. Looking to see what others went with and thoughts after installation.

In a year and a half of use they are rock solid, no damage from rock chips etc. And most importantly no rust in the running boards or the hardware because they are all stainless. I've seen several others where the boards look fine but the hardware is rusting or even sone where brackets or the boards are rusting. These have been great since the day I bought them. I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I routinely get compliments on them.
I have the UP set up and I will tell you this:Really love, but so expensive!
For these you also replaced the plastic rocket correct?I have the UP set up and I will tell you this:
1. Yes, absurdly expensive. Overpriced in my opinion.
2. Incredibly well-made and exquisitely designed aesthetically.
3. Pay attention to this one: makes ingress and egress worse. I was not expecting this and I don’t like it.
4. Haven’t put them to the test in terms of protecting the car while offloading yet but I will later this fall. I suspect that after they get damaged or sooner they’re probably coming off.

I think your steel steps are the coolest product on the market bar none in this arena. Sincerely.I'll throw my hat in the ring... both of our options have the same profile and function similarly..
The aluminum sliders have replaceable wear pads with slide across the rocks vs getting caught on them and being drug. They are made with .250" aluminum plate and .287 plastic wear pads. These should be used for serious off-roading, like our Rubicon trip.
The steel Sliders have the same profile, .093" thick, but we removed the internal bracing and plastic wear pads. I would say these are great for the occasional off-roading and use as a side step, they look great with our SportTruck line. After the Rubicon, I actually put these on the truck because I won't be doing any serious rock crawling in the near future...
Both in stock today, use coupon CTOC15 for a 15% discount, hope that helps!

I have a different set of running boards, but I have the same issue. My wife hates it - and I tolerate it. Pants tend to get dirty getting in and out of the truck.3. Pay attention to this one: makes ingress and egress worse. I was not expecting this and I don’t like it.
