If you want the best, @Unpluggedperformance Rocker Panels/Sliders are the way to go.
Other mount under the rockers and can easily be broken off if you are offroading.
Will yours work with the terrestrial armor package from Tesla?

I have a different set of running boards, but I have the same issue. My wife hates it - and I tolerate it. Pants tend to get dirty getting in and out of the truck.
Didn’t have this issue with my FJ cruiser so I was not expecting it.

I dont think it will, but UP is releasing their own armor that will fit with their side steps.
Cool. I already have a mortgage on my home though so I’m not sure I can finance UP stuff made of solid unobtainium. 😁
Obviously premature to judge so my mind is open, but most of it seems priced for the Saudi Royal guard, not me. It may very well be the best out there as Kirk says, not disputing that even though I haven’t seen i in person, but I feel like the OEM Tesla armor is probably decent quality too.
Have the waitlists gotten more reasonable? I remember people posting things for a while about ordering stuff and waiting more than a year to get it.
@UP_Kirk , when could one expect a package like this to be shipped?

Yall really having that much trouble with that last 0.75"-1.5" of Entry mode height? Or is this all just for aesthetics?
It depends on which of these you get - some are mounted at the same height as the built-in rockers. Others sit way lower, for example the ones in the second post on this thread. These are what I have and make the first step over 6 inches lower, which makes a huge difference for short people, like my mom who loves to ride in my CT. Anyone under 5.4 or so will appreciate these steps for sure if they are lower.

Yes the wait is lengthy still for certain parts, I myself placed orders for parts in April of this year, and UP fulfilled/ installed most of it in late July, so it seems they've gotten better? Im still waiting for my bullbar. Cant argue with the criticisms regarding their prices but their workmanship was clean, and I have to say the products are built robustly. Im just thankful I bought TSLA stock during the dip earlier this year, as it is offsetting my rather extravagant purchases as of late.

Also in agreement with Dalton regarding egress of the running boards, they are wide so you either have to take an extra step onto them or do a wide leg extension step to go over them. Ive gotten used to it though, and I love the look of them as well.

Thanks for the candor. I’m on the fence about a number of things from them and wanted to know what to expect.

Yes, but has your mom just tried getting taller?

I definitely noticed that specific version, which is the only one that made any sort of sense and filled any sort of need.

I'm just trying to break people out of their autopilot for truck accessories and modifications, eg "I had one on my last truck", or "trucks are supposed to have them", or "they make me look tough".

I only wish that, instead of auto-lower to entry height on park, I could have it auto-RAISE to "Stance" (Very High) on park. Make sure everyone in the Costco parking lot sees it!

I think your steel steps are the coolest product on the market bar none in this arena. Sincerely.
Think I know the answer to this but no chance they can be made to with work the terrestrial armor package right?
Aware you sell a plate too, but it was hard for me to argue against both cheaper and installed/troubleshot by Tesla if I’m being completely honest.
Tesla sliders are made with .063 steel, we ran them up against one (only 1) rock on the Rubicon and they pressed in 4" deep 24" long. They are close to the door as well, so when you pivot on a rock, the door will get damaged.

The underbody is better than stock, but I also saw a huge puncture 6" long in their trucks underbody, should have taken a photo. Better than nothing, yes, the strongest option on the market is another question, you get what you pay for...

We're working to lower the underbody pricing, but that requires volume. Would a group buy deposit situation help people sign up to a $3000 kit vs $5000?

I imagine it would. I’m just leveling with you about what drove my decision. Not trying to be a jerk. I swear. I genuinely love your stuff and everything you contribute to this community.
I have my Tesla install scheduled for the 28th.
The factors were a) cost and b) Tesla not giving me shit about aftermarket stuff in the event of any mishaps.
I just don’t have the know-how personally to even know what can go wrong. I’m driving a truck under warranty largely for that reason.
I can see how your materials and probably design are superior.

We're planning our next adventure video now, another NBD w/ different terrain and a new type of build!
Well.. at least one person is looking forward to watching it.
How are things coming along on that preorder for the rear control arm shielding? Ready to pay the balance whenever you’re ready to make them.
Did we get a lot of takers?
