So I ordered a single SILAZANE50 ceramic coating "starter" bottle to try out. While it does not prevent fingerprints, it does make it easier to wipe them off. After treatment, I am able to easily wipe off fingerprints with a dry rag. Before, it would also require a spritz of Windex.
It does not change the appearance of the natural SS that I could tell.
Application is pretty easy but make sure your truck is spotless as you are going to "lock in" any water marks etc. Learn from my mistake and also mask off the rubber window trim. My rag managed to brush against the rubber trim in one place which contaminated the rag and left streaks. I spotted it quickly and was able to correct the problem (it is slow to set so you have time) however I discovered later I missed a spot and it appears that streak will be there for the next few years. Nothing too bad but it won't wipe off now that the ceramic coating is protecting it. Mask things off and work in good lighting so you can spot and fix such things before the coating sets.
I only ordered one bottle and found it more than enough to cover the entire truck.
[Edit:] adding pic of the streak. It is subtle and I found it hard to get the camera to focus on it but it is that closed eyelash shape in the middle. It bugs me but not enough to buy another bottle and sand the door down to reapply.
