Hi All,

I've been digging around on this and wanted to get most recent thoughts. I want to ceramic coat just plastic parts and tonneau area of my truck and looking to see what others have used and outcomes. I know there was a lot of variety since release. I want to get these black parts protected from fading if possible.

What did you use and how was it?

I used CLEAR 8-Year By Pan on the whole truck, including the plastic parts and tonneau. The hydrophobic properties are fabulous on the stainless, making it far easier to keep clean.

It's also quite hydrophobic on the other parts, even the textured plastic, and it does make it easier to wash. However, rainfall now leaves spots instead of a consistent smear lol. (Same thing with the roof glass.)

If I had to replace the truck tomorrow, I would definitely coat the stainless. I'm still on the fence about the rest, and don't know the effect over time. I'm hoping it will extend the life of the plastics.
