Anyone have any thoughts on putting slicks on a CT and racing it?

Heavy mass is not your friend on the track, even for a track day experience. Wear and tear expenses and vehicle dynamics make heavy vehicles a scary and expensive choice,. A problem at speed with a 7000 lb vehicle would be terrifying for everyone, especially anyone else on the track. Rent a Miata, or something like it- light, balanced, not too much power, if you want to learn and have on-track fun. My advice only of course, but there's a reason spec Miata is the most popular racecar ever by a wide margin.

My autocross run from last year went viral, you can find it here: www.halocybertruck.com
Or

That's on stock tires. Slicks would have shaved time off for sure! But as recommended above there are better choices for track cars.

My son in law builds and races 3/4 Chevy diesel truck and ask if I was open to running my beast at their track this summer. I was wondering the same with slicks on a Beast. The diesel guys are running high 6’s low 7’s in the 1/8 mile which is what a Beast should run on factory AT tires. I know traction control takes some out of it to stop wheel spin but I was wondering if full hoook up would be safe on the rear casting ? That’s probably a question for Wes Moreill

Roger Goodell in hiding. No fun police can have fun in Miata.
