To whom it may concern,
If you are installing a replacement steering wheel from any 3rd party vendor - PLEASE READ BELOW.
PLEASE PLEASE follow the instructions provided by Tesla.
Steer-by-wire steering wheel replacement is totally different than any other Tesla model. If you don't follow Tesla's explicit instructions, you may (WILL) run into costly repairs that aren't covered under Teslas warranty. There are many videos on YouTube that are leaving out vital steps in this process - bricking many CT's back to the service center. This is a corrected video including every step. Be sure to watch and listen to the corrections.
Here is Teslas procedure. (Pay attention to the MV power disconnection step)
