Steering Wheel Squeaking

The plastic housing behind the steering wheel is squeaking. Does anyone else have this issue? If so, have you figured out a remedy?

Yeah it happens to me. It’s only happens when I turn left and if the steering wheel turns past a certain point. For my steering wheel there is a little lip/notch where the seems meet. This rubs against the plastic on the “neck”. Sorry not sure what any of this shit is called.

it only started happening in the past week and I think I’ve mostly fixed it for now by readjusting the steering wheel and pushing back the plastic on the “neck”.

I have a service request Friday and hopefully they can do a permanent fix.

This happened to me as well a few miles after accepting delivery. Pushing dash-wards on the plastic part that the squircle is adjacent to seems to fix the issue.

Had this issue as well. Pushing towards the windshield on the piece of plastic behind the steering wheel fixed it for now but it's so thin and flexible I know it's gonna move again.

The plastic on this truck overall is so cheap and shitty. Went in for a creak and 3 rattles among other things, they fixed 3 of them, caused another. I found a loose (and extra) white plastic clip in my headliner that was the source of the worst rattle.

Now my door has started creaking randomly, and I found that the handle on the inside of the door isn't actually seated together. there's a seam and it's completely not clicked in, and it won't stay clicked in if I press it together. I could probably fix the creaking that seems to be unrelated to the seam there, but there's no way I can make that seam fit back together without service and likely a new part.

It's one thing if, when you hit a hard bump, there's a momentary rattle. But this crap where it just creaks and rattles on smooth and open road is really annoying. My jeep wrangler with a removable roof doesn't creak and rattle this much.

Will do. Also, note the gap on the left side vs the right side. The left side is tighter than the right side. Stay tune.

I am also having the same issue - just 1 day after delivery. For those that moved the 'neck' or 'shroud' can you post a picture of the area please. Looks like there are 2-3 plastic covers.

Yes, my Beast was delivered this way (5/2). I brought it back in for service a week later and they fixed it.

Temp fix: soft side of Velcro between plastic pieces that were rubbing causing the sound. May be a little wonky but will work until I can take in for service.
