Strange behavior when I exit the vehicle. I noticed the radio kept playing when I closed the door and when I walk away, no locking occurs. AC continues like Im still in the vehicle. I noticed I can resolve this by opening and closing the passenger front door. Its like its European now...lol. I have reset the computer, my bluetooth connection, verified Auto Lock is still on, and updated the android app. Anyone else?

Your seat sensor in the driver's seat is probably broken.

We did just have our seat sensor replaced in our 2023 M3 (cost $500) , but why would the CT lock when the passenger door is opened and closed? Here is the scenario, Im by myself, I park and get out, close the door. Music playing still, mirrors still not folded, AC going. I go to the passenger side and open and close the door, only then will it shut down properly. If it thinks the driver is still there, why shut down? Im setting up a service call today.

Our MS was doing the same and it was a driver seat sensor.

Do you happen to have your passenger seatbelt buckled? I used to have this with my 3 and someone said this would happen when I’d leave the passenger seat buckled since I tended to have a lot of stuff in the seat and didn’t want it to bing at me.

I see similar behavior, randomly.

In my case, if I get out of the driver's seat, close the door, then open the rear door to let the dogs out, closing the rear door doesn't always turn off the screen. Opening and closing the front door again will shut it off and allow the truck to lock automatically.

Service couldn't reproduce... 🤦‍♂️

Similar here with the front passenger seatbelt buckled. Although, seems intermittent with new updates…

This was the cause, my wife figured it out. I was driving with my camera cases safely buckled in, ( we have suicide deer here) and never bothered to unbuckle. Strange, but Ill take that over a sensor issue. Thanks! Guess I'll put them on the floor like a normal person, but the AC froze my lenses earlier and took 15min to warm up enough to use them outside again.
