PPF vs. Vinyl Wraps:
This seems to be a very popular topic since there are many clients wanting to try the DIY color shift so here is our breakdown
We offer both vinyl and PPF for DIY or professional installation, so let's break down the differences:
In Conclusion:
Both PPF and vinyl wraps have their unique advantages and cater to different needs. Vinyl wraps are ideal for those seeking a wider variety of colors and a lower upfront cost, but they require more careful installation and have a shorter lifespan. PPF, on the other hand, is a more durable option, offering superior protection and longevity, with an increasing range of color options that are catching up to vinyl. While the initial cost of PPF is higher, its long-term benefits often make it the better investment, especially for those concerned with preserving their vehicle's appearance over time.
Ultimately, the choice between PPF and vinyl wrap depends on your specific goals—whether you're looking for a quick and colorful transformation or a long-lasting protective solution.
We hope this breakdown helps you make an informed decision!

We offer both vinyl and PPF for DIY or professional installation, so let's break down the differences:
- Installation Time: Both PPF and vinyl wraps require a similar amount of time to install. However, with PPF, it’s best to let it sit overnight, making it easier to tuck all the edges.
- Ease of Installation: PPF, especially with air release channels, can often be applied by a single person as it’s easier to maneuver on the panel you’re covering. With the vinyl wrap it is highly recommended to have at least 2 people for a better finish. If you want to know why please reply back and I will tell you why one requires 1 person and the other 2.
- Color Options: Vinyl currently offers more color options due to its 10-year head start, but PPF is quickly catching up. This year, we expect to see more color choices with PPF, which could eventually make vinyl wraps less popular, except for window trims.
- Longevity: There’s no comparison here. I've seen matte vinyl wraps oxidize within three months near the beach, whereas PPF can look brand new even after 8 years. Vinyl not only has a shorter lifespan, but it also starts showing wear and tear within a few months, which can make your car look aged and cheap.
- Cost: Pricing varies based on the brand and color. For example, we currently offer a full-body pre-cut PPF kit in satin black for $1,899, while a full roll of vinyl wrap costs $899-$1399
