I need to spend my $2500 voucher that I received for FS cybertruck soon and I am thinking of getting vinyl wrap offered by Tesla. Looks like they have it now in Seattle.

Has anyone done a vinly wrap by Tesla? If so, how is the quality and does it hold up over time?

And do you really need to hand wash it or can you do a touchless wash?

Mine was wrapped 3rd party. In my experience, touchless washes do not get it clean. Washes with brushes will peel off the wrap if the brushes catch an edge of the wrap. I have been going through a touchless wash about once a month to get the big stuff off, then use a waterless detail spray at home to finish it and touch ups over the next couple weeks.

The place I went to in Utah charged between $6000 - $7000 to wrap a regular car or truck. For the CT, they charged $4000 because of all of the straight angles. I use a touchless car wash and it works great. I think it depends on the water in your area. Utah water is good.

Do you have Vinyl or PPF? Trying to decide if spending 4500 on Vinly wrap makes sense or if it won't hold up.

The manufacturer is TECKWRAP. It doesn’t say if it is PPF or vinyl.

That’s vinyl. PPF is clear or sorta clear.
