Was a Foundation unit. That was a very discouraging review. I think all of us that are roughly a month or so from delivery date get a queazy stomach watching this. Of all the reviews out there they had major problems with stuff no one else seems to even mention. Like the rattles and squeaks, suspension issues and made a big deal out of A pillar blind spot, Something Munro seemed to express exactly the opposite.
on a hopeful side, it seems to be the pre delivery even beast that they were passing around and not a foundation unit.
Abstract Ocean sells a $35 hydrophobic rear lens cover for ModelY - I installed a couple of years ago. Flawless visibility. Also, been through both car washes and my own absent-minded use of my 3,200 psi PW...lucky? Probably, by a fraction of second or is it just so well adhered? No moisture ever inside the cover. I've no affiliation with any company, but I gladly recommend this product. Hopefully, a CT version coming out soon...or already has?The frunk not having a sensor and the rearview mirror (which needs a sprayer built in) are two legit fails I feel like on the CT. Every other critique from the review (and others) don’t have anything I see as bad. Plus I am way deep in the queue, so many of the things everyone complains about may be fixed by my time
Nice! Thanks for the info! Hopefully Tesla will have figured it out with the CT when my number is called butAbstract Ocean sells a $35 hydrophobic rear lens cover for ModelY - I installed a couple of years ago. That looks cool and hopefully they will make one for the CT. But it makes me wonder why they wouldn’t use this on the lens in the first place. I definitely agree with the sentiment that for a backup camera I’ll deal with it when it gets dirty every now and then but for a digital rear view camera in a vehicle with effectively no rear window I’d expect more care taken with the rear camera to ensure a robust picture. Maybe even mounting a camera up near where the tonneau meets the glass roof to get it up out of the road spray. And yes, I have done plenty of towing or carrying a large load where my rear window is blocked and I have only the side views. I can drive just find without a rear view mirror but given the choice it’s sure nice to have a clear view directly back.Abstract Ocean sells a $35 hydrophobic rear lens cover for ModelY - I installed a couple of years ago. So let me see if I got this straight. You believe the guys who reviewed it that are not owners, and think the actual owners posting are lying for some reason but you want REAL owners to tell you the truth? It seems pretty clear you’re looking for someone to reinforce your negative view of it. Anyone’s review of anything is completely subjective. What someone feels is comfortable could feel different to someone else and they can both be correct because it’s subjective. I actually believe the owners who have posted their impressions and appreciate all of them sharing their experiences. When you get your truck you’re welcome to share what your experiences are. I’ll promise not to accuse you of lying just cause I may not agree with you.All these people taking delivery and posting about it on this site I believe are not people who are ok with being fully honest and telling the truth.
It's likely because they over hyped themselves and spent a ton of money on the truck and don't want to admit it's flaws.
Hopefully real owners will speak up about the interior noise levels, rattles/squeaks, harsh suspension, and the reality is that the rear view video feed is terrible vs a digital rear view mirror like many other trucks have nowadays. Tesla went cheap in that route.
Let's hear some truth from the Cybertruck owners that have their vehicles already, speak up!
Hold on to your hat. I’m just trading my refreshed Model X for an R1S because the falcon wing doors make it sound like someone is making balloon animals in the back when I go over a bump. Thanks to @cvalue13 for a spot-on summary! I was going to pass on this video due to the 40-minute length, but your comments intrigued me so I watched.
The visibility comments are of particular interest to me, along with the ride and interior noise level. This is why I hope to be able to test drive a CT before taking delivery. I have gotten spoiled by the ride and comfort of my Model-X, so worst case is that if the CT is not a good fit for me, then I'll probably just upgrade to a revised Model-X.
Yeah, I hear you. This is one reason why I like to actually sit in and test drive a vehicle before purchasing. I'm surprised that the SC was not able to find and eliminate the "baloon animal" noise. That type of issue should have been easy to find, but it does take a technician with some experience troubleshooting NVH issues.Hold on to your hat. Theres a whole thread on it in the Tesla Motors Club forum.
It’s a great product overall but don’t expect that a new Model X will have less rattles and nosies than what the TH guys describe they experienced.
