If you find something cheaper. Let me know. I will do the same.
Try Farm Bureau. I got a quote from Tesla and it is $400 per month for our new Y and CT. It is $700 for 6 months for the two Teslas and a VW convertible. So Farm Bureau is lass than 1/3 compared to Tesla for two!

I refuse to allow an insurance company to base their rates off of them being able to monitor my vehicles telemetry. To me, it just gives them too much ability to raise at their own discretion, while using their perception of "my driving" as the justification.
In California, they can't use any data (from your vehicle) from how you drive other than your mileage. At least not YET! But soon, yes...

They (insurance companies) also now want to be able to limit the SPEED you can drive... Basically they want to institute an electronic 'governor' that will not allow you to go more than 10mph over the speed limit... All in the name of 'saving lives' of course...

But I changed my insurance 'deductibles' and now the cost is HALF what it was!! HALF!! This IS Tesla insurance BTW, I had switched to them when I got my Model Y because it was about $250 a year less than my other insurance wanted...

Now my deductible is $5000 instead of $2000 and I figured we are saving about $100 a month, so as long as I don't get in an accident in the next 5 years (which I probably won't) then I will come out ahead... So, check your numbers and see what you can afford to pay if you DO get in one...

I was alarmed by the rate too. But I went into the app and adjusted the projected mileage to what I'll actually drive. Now my total rate increase is only like thirty dollars.
Just got my notice of the doubling also.

The app says the current and new premium is $98 /mo.
So I need to wait until the new doubled one take effect next month to see if changes will lower it?

If I change both the comprehensive and collision deductible from $1000 to $5000 it only drops to $74 /mo.

I like how the notice says it's "based on your updated policy information are listed below." what updates or changes?

WOW, I only WISH I could get it that cheap!! And that's for the CT??

My Model YLR costs $145.50 per month (for 2 drivers, no tickets, no accidents) with a $2000 deductible... (I know it's less for $5K which we JUST switched to, but I can't find it and it doesn't go into effect until next month).

So, if you are already getting $98 a month, I assume that's for 1 driver?

One old driver low milage no accidents or tickets or points of any kind.

They are now changing it to $171 /mo.
The app still shows $98 /mo for the next month but I'm sure it will change to the new amount. I wonder if I change it now to the $5000 deductibles for $74 /mo, if it will stay for 6 months?
