Telsa quietly made available the Core Wheel version of the Wheel Cap Kit on the Tesla shop at some point. Same price as the Cyber Wheels one, $60 USD.

I bought the Cyber ones 2nd hand for my Core wheels and they fit great, but were slightly recessed. The only difference with these specific core wheel ones is they are slightly taller (~1cm) to sit flush with the Core Wheel surface.

So if you want the OEM option for your Core Wheels, there you go. Just thought I'd get the word out since I didn't see anyone mention it anywhere.

Note: My wheels aren't clean in these photos so the new caps kind of stand out right now colorwise... but I'm sure they'll be fine in the long run.

Very informative post. I have always pondered why the Cyber Cap was not advised or marketed for the Core wheel application, but didn’t want to find out the hard way…

I don’t think the recess is too terrible.

Yep, the recessed look of the "mismatched" wheel caps is not bad at all... in fact, when I first put the "correct" Core Wheel cap on, it looked slightly weird to me because I was so used to the recessed look on my truck.

Do you have them on the spoke (where the covers have a 'V' clip) or just around the outer perimeter?

Also FYI I ordered my Core wheel caps yesterday and just got a shipping notification, so they are indeed in stock.
Not on the spoke. It’s at the end of the wheel cover at the ends of the spoke / edge of the wheel. If you look at the backside of the covers, you’ll see there’s a rectangular shaped metal piece there (for reinforcement of the cover, I guess). That’s scratching the wheels.

Yes, I'm familiar with that situation. I'm going to try to sand mine down, and cover with some wiring harness tape. That doesn't solve for the "V" clamp issue on the spokes. But maybe that doesn't impact everyone.

Actually, I do have some minor v clamp scratches, too, but nothing like the other one. Honestly, I don’t really care because I leave the covers on…. And as I’ve gotten older, I don’t care about those things as much. Now, if I wanted to remove the covers, I’d care. Lol

Gotcha. Well I pick mine up on Friday, and would prefer to leave the covers on... I will try the technique I described above and see if that actually prevents wear/scratching. If it doesn't, I'll put on the center caps that I've ordered.

The main benefit of the OEM Core wheel covers IMO is the potential to be sacrificial to curb rash.

The center wheel caps that I ordered from Tesloid through the Amazon page were supposed to be delivered today. After more than two weeks since I placed the order, the tracking app showed they hadn't been shipped yet. Now, I get a message that they will be late in shipping. I checked the Tesloid reviews and find they are a suspect scam organization. Delayed shipping is one of their stall techniques.

Finally, this issue is closed. I canceled the order from Tesloid and placed an order with Tesla Shop. The Tesla Shop order arrived today and I installed them while the UPS driver was checking out the truck. These fit more securely than the previous set that I had, which were actually for the premium wheel.
