Absolute insanity that Tesla doesn't allow the voucher to be used like a gift card or allow backordering.

Agreed, definitely shouldn’t be a one time only use, balances should be able to carry over. At the very least, allow an item to be ordered that’s on back order. If the allowed customers to order back ordered items I would give them better forecasting on current demand for a particular item.

I understand this topic has been covered at different times and under different threads - but can't find any new info. Anyone got inside info on when the online store will have more than 3 items that are actually in stock? I've got a $2500 voucher burning a hole in my email inbox....

Imagine when they ramp up production and 2500 new owners a week come online looking for accessories. Good luck getting anything then.

Not to make anyone angry.. but for some miracle, I got my voucher before I got home from delivery. It is also burning a hole in my inbox.. but I think I'm going to go with the CyberTent.. It fits our lifestyle, and no way I would be able to load up on any other accessories and merch.

I don’t think the demand will be that high once FS stops. There’s more incentive to shop around when it’s your own cash rather than a gift card.
