There are like 4 videos and 2 of them are for sure the MY standard. It would be odd if they advertised that much on a stripper Model Y.

A stripper model Y? Comes with a Chanel air freshener and a keycard activated glitter bomb?

Elon Musk has stated that the Tesla Cybercab, designed as a fully autonomous vehicle, will primarily support a robotaxi model through Tesla's network, where vehicles operate as part of a fleet for ride-hailing services. During the October 2024 unveiling and the Q1 2025 earnings call, he emphasized that Cybercabs will be available for private ownership at a price under $30,000, but the primary business model focuses on fleet operations to maximize utilization and affordability. Musk noted that private owners could opt to add their Cybercabs to the Tesla robotaxi fleet to generate income when not in personal use, comparing it to a hybrid of personal car ownership and shared mobility. He highlighted that fleet operations would begin in Texas and California in late 2025, pending regulatory approval, with no specific restrictions mentioned on private ownership beyond the pricing and production timeline.

This is why no one trusts LLMs.

The Cybercab starts next year and Elon said they haven’t thought out private ownership, yet.

That summary lined up with my recollection. Elon discussed private fleet ownership during last fall rollout and in the 2025 Q1 conference call. They have no long term intention of investing and maintaining these (or any other cars). Shortly after the conference call Tesla.com had a fleet interest form I completed. Then just last week Tesla North America Fleet operations emailed me about my interest. However they confirmed they have no additional details to share about Cybercab (last week).

Given our XP with "service centers" (vehicle maintainence is not Tesla strong suit) I am confident Tesla will not own most of the RTs, and they will be owned by private owners. But I do agree they haven't said much recently.
