I use my Starlink mini religiously when camping and it generally sits in my windshield and works quite well, but the disadvantage of that is that the truck needs to remain at camp for there to be internet.
When I found out that @Tesstudio who’s products I have installed in the past and posted about, now offers two different battery power options, I contacted them and even though I’m not what one would call a “reviewer” they generously offered to send them both to me so I could compare the two and post about them here.
Thank you Kai. It was a very good idea. I think both of these will be good selling products but I think a lot of people, myself included are on the fence about which to choose.
The discussion was that I’d take both the tripod style and peek-do style batteries with me on a trip that I’m planning with some CTOC friends to try and see the next starship launch in Texas.
Both the items have not arrived yet, but I did receive the tripod version quickly and efficiently and very happy with what I’ve seen so far.
Have not plugged it in yet, but it looks like a really nice quality piece and very well packaged. It comes in nice little bag and opens super smoothly. I have not charged it yet. Waiting for the other battery so I can do a true side by side out of the box.
My plan is to compare the two batteries in terms of charge time, convenience of use and charge longevity on our Texas trip.
Is there anything else anyone would like to know ? Anything I should pay special attention to that’s important when I test them?
