They 'replaced' it alright but you wouldn't really know bc the exact same sound Is there🤣🤣🤣
Cmon man...it maybe even persists longer in to the 55 to 60 mph range.

Tbh, maybe it wasn't the drive unit. Wonder what else it could be. I don't get vibes etc. Seems to be just a noise. Contemplating whether I bring it back.

I've heard a few similar stories such as this.

Any updates from any members on resolution or fix from service?

Was it air in the system? A lot of us still having this issue.
They swapped my front unit and it’s 98% quieter. If I let my ocd take over and focus, I can still barely hear it. But otherwise, it’s fine now. I’ve convinced myself it’s gear noises now, etc. Being under a really good, long, warranty, if ever it creeps up again I’ll take it in.
Now, hardly any cybertruck out there has working physical key cards lol. Try yours, bet it doesn’t unlock or lock from outside. It’ll let you drive but Tesla support doesn’t know about it even though it’s getting around pretty widespread.

They wouldn’t replace mine. They said they all sound like this.

I love the way the gears sound. Funny that one Service Center replaced an entire drive unit for normal sounds!
There are definitely normal ones surrounding it, the chirping, gear noise for sure, but the clicking/fluttering, they actually said it was an "internal motor issue" they diagnosed.

I have exactly the same annoying noise starting at 35mph.
Dropping my CT tomorrow at service center along with another 10+ complains for month old truck.
I'll update here about results. Fingers fckng crossed (regarding very "professional" tesla techs lol)

Yep, wishing you luck. Mine was similar, took a month to get an appointment after having truck just 1 month, then once there, they had for 22 days, only 2 of which they worked on, other time it sat on lot. Was pretty poor service this time, whereas I've had much better in the past. I had a half-dozen cosmetic items, in addition to the motor, and they knocked everything out quick and fixed them all.

Doing the same here. Dropping off mine next week. Same noise. Kind of concerning to hear some techs say it’s normal and others say it’s an internal motor issue. I would say there’s a pretty big difference between the two. Did you have to do any convincing or push back to have them treat this properly.

the other big concern are the wipers. Esp here in the winter with the salty roads. So much streaking with the current wipers and add on some sun glare, almost impossible to drive

I didn't push too hard, but I was definitely assertive because I did some digging, found others with same issue. I even demo drove another cybertruck they had to prove theirs was not making that sound. Had tech drive it with me, he heard it, so once he heard it, I used that to confirm other cybertrucks don't have that particular sound.
Wipers, me being in central Texas, don't have much of an opportunity to validate performance compared to your area. I've seen some mention there are kinks in their wiper hose, so check that to be sure it's spraying adequately and some mention prepping the windshield with rain-x, etc. so it glides better.

Does anyone have the service notes they can share with them replacing the motor? My SC said they sent the noise recording to Tesla and they wouldn’t replace. Mine sounds like a bad wheel bearing noise but it’s definitely in the motor.

Picking up my truck tomorrow - based on repair progress, every noise I have is "normal" (fluttering, ac vents, noisy inverter, noisy suspension compressor).
SMFH.

Update: took my truck in. Couldn’t reproduce the noise because of course it’s warmer here now. But the service tech heard my recording and he knows exactly what I’m talking about. Said if he can reproduce it, most likely will be a front drive unit change. He said he’s had a few come in with same issue. He said the best thing was to just leave it sitting at the SC then he can drive it a few times in the mornings to see if it makes the noise.

They said the same thing and told me it’s normal per Tesla HQ. Because the sounds is not as loud after warm up nothing is wrong with it. I talked to the service manager about it and he shared they are aware and being told not to replace drive units. A lot of foundation series had their drive units replaced for the same issue.
I’m contemplating on selling it because I can hear it most of the time and it’s not normal. Good luck on getting it fixed

You’re selling because there’s a sound, you don’t know what it is, but it’s not normal to you? The motors are warrantied to 150k. I wouldn’t worry about it. Sounds like some motors went back to HQ and they determined it was normal 🤷‍♂️
