I live near a small town in Maine, and in December, I went to my local grocery store, and there was a Cybertruck. Generally, they're from out-of-state, but I looked at the license plate, and it's local. It has a fire department tag and the plate indicates it's on Belgrade Lake. I live one lake over, about 15mi away. I didn't get my CT until end-of-March, but it was nice to see another CT in the area.

Came out of the store and saw another CT parked right next to mine, like a quiet tip of the hat.

No one ends up with one by accident. We’re not trying to be special, we're just open to something different and fun. We see little kids light up when they see it, and that echoes a spark inside us underneath all the grown-up layers. It's part toy, part spaceship, in a market full of board-approved vehicles with no true soul.

It can feel a little lonely sometimes. But then another one shows up in a parking lot and reminds you: there are others out there who remember when the iPhone came out and everyone thought it was crazy for not having buttons.

I always check for the FS and CB badges then give one of the side cameras a close up thumbs up. Preferably with my CT in my background.

This is what it’s all about. I love seeing the kids’ reactions (see video below) and I especially like seeing other Cybertruck on the road. I bought a bunch of Cyberducks from Up and Duck to give to other owners. Was thinking about mounting one as a hood ornament. lol.

I was on the freeway and pulled right up next to another wrapped in black like mine in the next lane. I then floored it.

I’m often driving around with my kids and they LOVE when we see other “Cyber Buddies” so we all get excited and wave and I will flash my lights and or honk my horn because I love it and their excitement is worth it every time.

Every time I get a chance to meet another owner I try to take a picture with them and our trucks and post it in my local group.

Not a day goes by that Sentry doesn't catch someone stopping and gawking in awe or peering through the windows. Still get people taking selfies with it 18 months post-launch. Kids and older folks love it.
I was always on edge back during the terrorism fire-bombing days but I've never had any bad sentry events, just people looking in the window or taking pictures in front of it.

I'm on here enough that sometimes I forget I'm not driving one. I still feel some kinship and excitement when I see one locally. Made sure to give an owner a thumbs up as I passed him on the toll road the other day.

Either there's a higher number of owners due to proximity to the Tesla factory, or there's one or two owners I'm frequently running into in my smaller town north of Austin. I like seeing them in the wild! If you see the Sierra EV cruising by with black plates, it's me.
I also live close to Cybertruck factory. I see about 10 CTs in my area in Bulverde/ San Antonio, TX. I still get excited when I see one near me. I am surprised that some of the owners do not show interest in having a conversation. most just get into their CTs and drive away. I feel like the more elite to be a owner of the CT. I am also very surprised that many people still don't know anything about the CT. I love showing it off and talking about all of the special options that the CT offers.

I don't get an opportunity because outside of Superchargers, all the ones I see are on the move. On the other hand I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of drivers were reluctant just due to the unfortunate negative image that's been impressed upon CT owners. I know if I owned one, I'd be a little on the defensive with strangers coming up to me, until I knew it was with good intentions; this as someone who loves to talk shop about vehicles in general.

I only had a few people ever being negative about the CT. Most are fascinated that it is a real truck. Kids love it. I get a kick out of their reactions. Even older people want to sit in it. I only had a few give me the finger (only in the last month), but to each their own. I love the truck. best vehicle I ever owned. nothing but good things to say about it. I sometimes think that I must have gotten a good one after hearing all the negative things. I have to laugh at people who say it can't haul. the frame will break! What a joke. I can tell they have little knowledge about the construction of this vehicle. The idiots demonstrating the tongue weight breakage don't know how to test anything correctly. The torcher that they put the CT though will cause all kinds of weaknesses on any vehicle. So I tend to educate the doubters. I pay less for full coverage on this CT than on my 2017 E300 Mercedes. Insurance companies know this CT can take a lot without damaging it. Well, enough of my 2 cents.

Incredibly well said!

Fortunately the random hate, middle fingers, and judgemental looks have really Started to die down. It's been extra frustrating for me and my wife because we're actually incredibly liberal. I think the most ironic thing is that the 3 demographics I get the most love from and 0 hate are kids, minorities, and homeless people ?‍♂ Kids are the best, they go nuts.

Just yesterday I was in the left turn lane at an intersection just before my arrow went green another rollled up is the front of the turn lane to the left. Had FSD on so quickly rolled down my dark tint and hit them with a ? while FSD make the turn. My inner child takes over whenh I see another.
I feel the same way, I flash them and wait for a reply. Very infrequently.

It's been a real time of self-reflection for us, coming to terms with the fact that some people are just irrational and we shouldn't take it personally. Being on the defense mentally for so long is tiresome so it's refreshing to see more and more CTs in the wild.
