The tailgate ramp I’m using -- tri-fold aluminum ramp

This tailgate ramp folds over 3 times. I store it in the under bed compartment of the Cybertruck. It’s only rated for 500 lb, but works for by Stealth B52 e bike. It’s less than $150.

It looks like the Tesla ramp but much less expensive. I do miss the built in ramp Tesla originally unveiled the Cybertruck with, and the crouch mode. I hope they will still have a crouch mode.

The Tesla ramp is a little pricey but it's rated to 750 lbs. and I bet it could take a lot more than that. It's pretty beefy.

With the suspension in "Entry Mode", I can step right in with no hands. When I'm woodcutting I put a short round on the ground behind the tailgate. Two steps makes it easy. My F-150 was a lot higher off the ground and it didn't come with a "man step". I made do, but the Cybertruck is a lot easier. It seems like they could lower the end of the tailgate another 3" with a crouch mode (front suspension fully extended, rear fully collapsed). Maybe they will add that after they deliver FSD.

Thanks for the info. I don’t have entry mode turned on. My thinking was it exposes the system to extra ware and tear. There is still no information on how well the Cybertruck will stand up to continued use. This is my first Tesla. Today I’m much more skeptical of EM and Tesla than I was when I ordered 4 years ago.

I also think crouch mode will help and I’m hoping for an update. I tried to find out how much lower entry mode makes the tailgate height, then low mode, but didn’t see the posted anywhere. Do you know? It would seem to me that being able to select entry mode from the app would be worth while, but it’s not available. I read on the forum about an owner who damaged his truck parking when it lowered to entry height after unknowingly driving over an obstacle that was too tall.

I’m new to using a tailgate ramp. They all seem o require attachment of a safety strap. I think this is intended to attach to the trailer receiver, but I wanted to avoid the extra work of removing the receiver fairing every time I use the ramp. I was think of drilling a hole into the skid plate under the truck and attaching the strap’s hook there. Any thoughts about that?
