You can also see him compensating on the way down to make sure that that handled doesn’t move as much as it did on the way up. I clocked that right away. I also don’t like the way it appears to stick over into the bed. AND, it’s definitely 3-D printed.

Interesting idea. Not for me.
It has some flex to it but it’s definitely strong enough! I can put all my weight on it with no issues lol

13” height as a one step option but it is looking like a two step option will be better.

Sometimes, I just don’t want to sit and scoot. Also, out here in the desert sitting on something that’s been in the sun for a while might be quite unpleasant.

I’m using this one. Love the aesthetics light small sturdy:

I initially had one of these tall boys:

ACSTEP Folding Step Stool 17.5... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1FVWWS6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Which I really liked but somehow it got cracked I didn’t notice and coming down one day I felt it give thank goodness it didn’t completely fail but that was when I stopped trusting the plastic varieties for this application. I have a two step version for my travel trailer.

Decision made. I ordered that two step thin one you got. It looks like it is very thin and I can bungee it to my Tesla cargo rack.
Much better for truck storage!
Thanks.

While I would certainly love a step (and my knees would thank me), I don't think I'm ready mentally to accept that I need to pull out a stool every time I need to get in the bed lol.

Does the one you’re using (two step version) fit in the smugglers den?

I’ve never tried, that’s where I keep my Starlink and other things but I will check it out for you.

Update:

It’s just a touch too wide to go flat but if you don’t have the dividers in (like I do) it can easily go in at a slight angle. Hope this helps.

I keep this one in the hidden storage bin:
Xtend & Climb FT-1 Ultralight Step Stool, Gray
https://a.co/d/5l8k3yO
I almost ordered that one
My need for a step is different than most as I am trying to avoid going into the bed of the truck. I was looking for a step stool that folded flat and could give me 15” height so from the side of the bed in entry mode, I could open and access my fridge I installed in bed of truck.
