If you don't floor it all the time, you should get over 20k miles. At 6,000 miles I'm only down 1/32 in the front, and 3/32 in the rear. Ready for rotation.

That's pretty normal with ANY Tesla, the first set of tires go the fastest.

Sure, you can buy tires that will last longer, but they probably won't be as quite, or as smooth riding, or as cheap.

Tires are always trade-offs.
Probably true, since I live in the snow belt and am used to Jeeps with even with Street Tires I get something like Falken Wildpeaks so they are good for Summer rain and winter snow and Ice. I am sure that will add a little more tire noise, as you say a trade off.

Mine were swapped out at 24k. I could have maybe got another 5k out of them next spring/summer, but I put on snow tires. Bought a different set for next spring.

I drive dirt roads and never do anything remotely fun. No launches, when you could just have lunches.

We haven't seen anymore of the 6k people. I consider that person a one off in more ways than one.

I’ll be curious to hear what mileage ppl get out of the Pirelli Scorpion All Seasons.

My prior Tesla (2020 Y with 20” induction wheels came with Goodyears) the OEM tires lasted 22k before I wasn’t comfortable going into the New England winter with them. I replaced them with the Vredestein Quatrac Pro. They were excellent. Put about 15k miles on them before I traded the Y for CT and they only had a little wear. So I expect the OEM tires to wear quicker than something else.

Ok CT Owners, I know I am going to get jumped on for getting clicked baited here but I just saw that our CTs will eat tires in 6000 miles. Now disclaimer here; I am sure you could do that if you somehow turned off traction control and went out of roasted the tires off at every stop.
What I want to know is where are normal people really at. I heard several people on the tube say you will get half the rated milage of tires on EVs in general. Don't really know this is my first EV. On my Jeeps over the years I have done pretty good with Tires but I drive them on the road like sports car and offroad like a Baja racer.
So what's the truth? does anyone really killed their tires faster than expected?
Not true! Here are my tires after 10,000 happy miles!! CyberBeast acquired 9/12/24

What’s the theory behind “EV burns tires faster”? I don’t get it same resolutions on the ground right. Isn’t it about what tire and conditions you are in ? I’ve ran Toyo Open country AT on All my trucks since 2015 and have gotten 50 plus out of every one and plan to work this set on my CT

Driving normal is boring!!! :) I joke. The OG tires on our 2020 X lasted 28k and could have gone another 3-5k I'd guess but one of them got a nasty nail near the outside of the tread so just decided to replace them.

Really depends on how you drive your CT. And rotate the tires at the recommended mileage. My rears tires are wearing faster than the front tires.
At 13,800 with 2 rotations and 8/32nds on all 4.

I drive mostly on chill btw.

I have 26,000 (and change) miles on my stock tires and they still look great. When I go outside I will check the depth.

I have almost 22k on my stock AT Goodyears on my AWD CT. I drive a “little bit slower than average but still punch it for fun”. Of the 22k miles, about 7k miles have been on “Chill” mode and most highway miles. My ATs are down to 5/32 and will probably replace them in the next 2k miles. I haven’t noticed a change in their performance so far. (Rotating the tires every 6k miles.)

I plan on purchasing the KO3 or Destination XT.

think 4 wheel steering, which we want and love, impacts toward negative wear
im ok with that price to pay for the most superior driving experience of any truck ever made
hopefully the tire manuf are watching, learning and developing better tires for the future

also, adding the spare to the bed and to the rotation schedule will help, ebay for the used rim and tire as a lower cost option, my final setup will be 5x All Season rotating and 4x MT rotating, in my area Nov to May is fine with AS, May to Nov is MT as we drive on dunes, a lot of money in tires but expect ASs 24K and MTs maybe 35K miles before replacement

The lowest I've seen claimed is around ~6,700 miles before replacement. But most people seem to be getting many times more than that.

Personally I'm going to use mine until they become racing slicks.
I took mine in for a tire rotation and balance and they had worn down 1/10 on The front and 2/10 on the back. I launched on a regular basis and I drive fairly fast so I still expect them to last over 30,000 miles, I’m guessing somewhere under 40,000 miles
