I got 55K on my Model Y on the first set of tires (Stock Eagles). Probably should have had them changed out around 45K as they were pretty worn down lol. I kept reading of people changing them out at 25K or less. I definitely believe it comes down to your driving style. I'm hoping I'll get good treadlife on my CT.

So i took my cybertruck in for a tire rotation im currently just under 29k miles and they are "suggesting" i look at getting replacements as they are worn.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Less than 30k miles on new tires seems horrible and they did not last nearly as long as they should.

Will tesla do anything to compensate for the lack of quality within the tire?
Which tire desig, AT or GY high tires?

I just had mine if (April 2024 delivery) and they are recommending I replace my tires which have just under 14k miles on them LOL

REALLY need them to offer the All Terrains in the Shop so I can use my $2500 Powerwall credit towards new ties. I do drive like an absolute knob, though so I deserve this.
They offer both AT and Highway treads in Shop. I personally ordered my FS CT with Highway treads (didn’t want listen to tire noise plus dont plan to go off-road), I just order/received set replacement tires, paid with my $2500 power share credit. I don’t need replacement (10k mile) but time was running out to use or loss credit (August 14th). SC agreed to hold tires until needed.

It would be interesting to see a graph of wear vs Wh/mi. As I suspect there would be a strong correlation. Somehow limiting the data to everything under 30 mph(acceleration zone, not affected too much by areo)

Consider your self lucky at 29k. I generally replace tires on vehicles at 20k miles. That is standard fare for OEM tires. I’m at 7k on my CT and I’m already at half tread… I don’t launch it much at all driving it fairly normally. I’m looking at replacing them at 15k miles. That was normal for my RAM 3500 Dually.

Don’t get the crap OEM tires for your new set. Goodyear tires are notorious for short life span. Go get a truck tire with a 50k mile warranty like BFG KO3s that are made for heavy high torque vehicles and you will get more miles out of it.
