Service will take care of it but if you want to try to fix it yourself you might like knowing that aluminum trim behind the roof glass is adjustable in height. If it's rubbing too hard on the tonneau as it scrolls by it might cause the issue you are seeing.

The test would be to remove the trim piece and see if that causes the tonneau to operate normally. If it still stops prematurely then that's not your problem. If it does fix the problem, just adjust the trim to sit slightly higher.

Current stall? Sounds like the right motor is having an issue or failing. Cant tell if its being bound up and going over current (having to push too hard therefore drawing more current) or if its undercurrent due to motor failure

I’ve had mine in twice due to the rubber pieces between the slats wiggling their way to one side, causing a jam in the track and stall. Doesn’t sound like your issue but if you see a little gap on one side between of any of the slats it means that rubber has scooted the other way. Sadly not as simple as pulling it back yourself (I tried).

Schedule a service appointment, bottom line…it’s under warranty…not your job to figure out!

Mine had the exact same symptoms last year. Service installed new horizontal tonneau rails. Service indicated they had upgraded the parts since my truck was produced as they found some binding issues with tonneau cover closing in early builds. Ever since the fix has been flawless.
