Took Delivery March 26; Great Experience

Took delivery of AWD this morning, great experience, thanks to entire staff of Brandon MS! Truck was clean and well presented; red bow and smoke as it drove out the door. Good introduction and run through. Paperwork done in two minutes.
The drove 220 miles home and arrived with 26% battery.
Of course removing the bugs and fingerprints was our first task. Either I’ll resign myself to having a vehicle that looks like a workroom SS refrigerator or I’ll get it wrapped. Cleaning it with recommended Tesla manual process is useless.
Vehicle drove like a dream. Getting used to 4 wheel steering is a 5 minute challenge. This vehicle makes people smile; I really felt as if we had brought smiles to about 100 people. We left it outside a Magazine St restaurant in New Orleans and it was fun replaying people’s reactions in Sentry!

Elon Musk and team should be really proud of this accomplishment.

Congrats Robert! Can't wait for my delivery but I don't expect the Richmond VA center to be anything to write home about. Hopefully they've gotten better over the past 2 years.

Picked up a lot of bugs on the front face during my trip across PA last weekend. Sprayaway glass cleaner and some paper towels will take them off nicely. Just let it soak for a bit so they bugs soften up. Use a microfiber towel for the light bar if you want to reach into the nooks and crannies. This is mostly applicable for when you don't have access to a hose or pressure washer.

Haha yeah that “perfect delivery” high hits hard day one. Give it a week and you’ll be wiping fingerprints every 5 minutes like the rest of us. 220 miles with 26% left is actually solid, people underestimate how efficient it is when you chill your speed a bit. And yeah the attention… you basically signed up to be a walking event everywhere you park, no hiding with that thing lol.
