took delivery in lynnwood WA today,

Only 2 minor issues

1 passager side side front panel is about 1/8-1/4 inch higher than the front hood

2 tonneau cover top passager side gap larger than the other side.

both being entered into due bill for service to correct. The staff :Sydney, Ricky and Eddie are super super nice.

My first Tesla, an amazing machine to drive.

Congrats! I can’t wait until I’m in your shoes. Soon! Glad you’re keeping them honest by calling out the imperfections. Tesla peeps are consistently kind and courteous, IMO. Go Elon! Go humans!

Thanks for sharing.

I wish all new CT owners would report on initial quality impressions on delivery day.

At $100k and $120k premium price points the trucks should offer Porsche like build quality.

I took delivery of my Beast yesterday. Checked all door, window, tonneau seals. All well formed with no kinks and overlaps. Both tow hook covers present. Checked functionality of wiper, fitment of plastic sail covers, correct door hinges. No rail dust. Tailgate lines up well with side panels. Rear speakers work perfectly. No rattles in doors or interior panel fitment issues. No white trim piece waviness or overt dimpling. No overt panel gap issues. No cracks or bubbles in laminated glass. Only issues I found were small panel scratch on rear passenger door rocker panel area and damage to the rear passenger wheel faring, both easily fixable. Passenger a-pillar metal was slightly misaligned to front fender panel, but could be manipulated into compliance manually. Will double check bolt used to hold in place. Haze on interior front windshield preset from interior material off-gassing, but easily cleaned with window cleaner. I'm not the pickiest person, but it was a good clean delivery.

At $100k and $120k the trucks should display superior build quality.
I agree, been trying to share my experience as much as possible. The only "issue" with the truck which I saw on delivery day is the steering wheel is not centered. Have a service appointment for that on May 31st. Sitting at 918 miles right now. Have a camping trip planned for the weekend, looking forward to having a truck full time again!

I was actually a little disappointed for not finding any so famous rail dust. I prepared to take out my BKF to show off the knowledge I learned on this board to the shocking SC staffs. I was waiting for this moment for at least 4 months, instead, i just could show them the Amazon delivered order of BKF. They laughed out loud.

I am happy for you and also even more excited because my pickup is tomorrow in Seattle. Our trucks were most likely travel buddies on the way up. I haven't ordered any BKF... so I might drive north and use yours haha! But I did get my hubcap and lug nut covers already. I'll bring those with me.

Just tbh, the build quality of the one in the lynnwood showroom is mediocre at the most, misalignments everywhere, lose trim cover and seal, large gaps, kind of embarrassing. My wife kind of shock that same model can have such build quality difference. What i didn't tell her that i actually expected my truck would be the close build quality of the one in the showroom. Its VIN actually is higher than mine in 7XXX range.

Oh ouch, hopefully that one is getting fixed before the owner sets the delivery date. Just sounds like one of those bad delivery stories. Also hope Seattle doesn't tell me its in Lynnwood for pickup... and that's mine... Was it a beast? my VIN is in the 7XXX

No, that is not the beast so you are ok. I was told the showroom one is not for the customer, but still, showing a inferior product to the public doesn’t seem a good marketing strategy.

Oh phew! Had me worried I would have to explain the gaps to the wife. Ok here's to hoping mines as decent as yours :)
