Pulling away from charger, my monitor started flashing red and alerted me to “critical issue” and driving was limited to a snails pace. Called roadside and they said a tow would be required. I’m waiting now. Tow truck driver is a CT owner too, so some degree of comfort there.
Really disappointing, but better here than on the freeway I was about to be on.
Anyone have experience with this one?
UPDATE: Literally seconds before the tow truck showed, I put the CT back in drive to see if I'd be able to drive it onto the flat bed. When I did, all the error messages were gone, full power was restored, rear wheel steering worked and it seemed to be back to normal. After a few minutes of talking to the tow truck driver and with no error messages reappearing, I opted to drive it the 11 miles home. My wife had come to get me and the tow truck driver was headed to the same neighborhood, so I had ample back-up in case the issue reappeared. I drove way slower than normal and used FSD most of the way. I made it home without incident. I'll be getting it into the SC ASAP though. I hate this first basis for insecurity and hope I can regain the faith.
