We are configuring an 17' Alto Safari Condo R1713, 1,950 lbs, 3,000 lbs. GVWR and would appreciate any advice. We will be pulling this with Cybertruck (& range extender battery) Do you recommend the Tuson sway control system and/or the weight distribution kit that they offer as options? We have been told that we don't need either but if there is going to be trailer sway due to winds, semis, etc... should we get those option(s)? Thanks

If the dealer has one that you can test pull with, I'd highly recommend it. For that price I also would expect a little help from the dealer. Maybe rent one?

You really want to see what the range is going to look like. And you may not need the extended battery.

For that weight, it really shouldn't need the load balancers nor sway control.

And remember, that the 1950 lbs is dry and you will never see it. That's going to probably stay much nearer to 3,000 lbs and you may have to watch what you pack in it. Remember that just water will add 300 lbs.

Thanks. The dealer doesn't recommend the weight distribution kit or the elctronic sway system after hearing what we are going to pull it with. And yes, I think we will be pulling close to 3,000 lbs. Most the time. Appreciate the response.

I'm sure they are looking at 6,000 lbs pulling 4,000 lbs.

When I worked at a trailer place years ago, someone came in with a Jeep to pull something like a 24 ft trailer. The sales guys said that the Jeep wouldn't pull it. The Jeep owner adamantly disagreed with the statement; he had the most powerful engine available!
It was then explained to him that the trailer would throw the Jeep around on the road like a fly swatter. One pass of a tractor trailer at 70 mph and that Jeep would have no ability to keep its wheels on the ground, the trailer would just throw it off the road.

Electric brakes???
Yes, the trailer has them, but we don't know if the CT will apply a different amount of braking force to each side of the trailer brakes in case of an emergency (sway, etc,) Does anyone know? I couldn't find in CT owners manual.

We saw the A2124 at the dealer in Abbotsford, BC, last week. It is amazing. More aerodynamic, much more cabinet storage, but less light coming in. It is too tall & long for our garage. Our R1713 will be 17' 6" long and 7' 6" tall.

Ok, i never thought of putting a trailer into the garage to start with. I will check out alto trailers in abbotfords as well. Debating between A2124 and F2414.

That's not possible. There is only one brake control line to the trailer. (There is a way, but it would require specific trailer HW and vehicle software).
The Cybertruck could use its brakes to attempt sway mitigation though...

One tap on the brakes buttons tends to bring a trailer back inline. And that can be setup to be one of the scroll wheels. And that's easier than most other vehicles where you have to reach under the dash, or at least take the hand of the wheel, where you may need it the most!
