Hi all,

I currently own a 2022 LR MODELY y and a 2023 Ford lightning lariat LR. I’ve been very happy with the Tesla, and so far the lightning has been great. I initially didn’t get the cybertruck because of it being a gen 1 vehicle. And the closest service center is 2 1/2 hours away. I use my truck for work so it needs to be reliable. It seems the newer cybertrucks are getting better, so my question is : is now a good time to sell both my vehicles and get the truck? Love to hear others opinions. If I do get one it’ll be the AWD cybertruck.

thanks in advance.

I have a Tesla 3, two Ford ICE trucks, a super-car, and now the Cybertruck. With 13,000 miles on the CT, I have had to install trickle chargers on the ICE machines because I never even start them; the model 3, I am giving to a relative, and I have put the sports car up for sale.

I enjoy the CT to drive as a truck, and a commuter, and a touring vehicle.

Just my 2 cents.

CT is absolutely the greatest product ever released of any kind. It can replace any other vehicle. So much so that I sold my Model 3 Performance AND my Tundra (2014 model that was actually a V8 as it should be) for it. While those were both fantastic, I can’t say I miss them one bit. CT does what they both did and does it better.

I owned R1T but switched to CT. I’m 100% happy with the choice. The vaulted truck bed with complete flat space is a HUGE advantage. Adjustable suspension and SBW makes it such a great utility truck, and it goes without saying what the benefits of dent resistant body are! I love my CT to heart. The early issues are resolved. The only difference you might notice is a bit of motor whining, but R1T whined way more. The rear seat design and 90 degree door opening add more to the utility. You might miss the large Frunk in F150, but who cares when there is a huge vaulted bed.

Just be ready to face both positive and negative reaction, depending on where you live! If you are like most of us here, you won’t give a damn!

Bonus perk with CT - this forum is filled with amazing people to answer any questions ?. I’m not sure how it is with Ford! It does make a difference.

I had a 2018 Model 3 and 2000 Chevy 2500 Silverado. I wasn’t sure on the Cybertruck, but after I got it I went to move the Model 3 and found cobwebs. I’m down to one vehicle now, which is odd, but love driving the truck any chance I get.

I got mine in December (vin 50xxx, built on Nov 15, 2024), and I’ve only had one real reason for service: my frunk switch went bad about 2.5 months into ownership. They replaced it.

I’d say most of the early build issues have been ironed out.

A no brainer. I have a lightning daily for work, because it’s not a distraction. If I could, I’d drive the CT instead, all day everyday. Wife’s X is the 2nd fav. The Y was my least favorite out of all specs, 11 Tesla’s owned in total, only 1 Y.

I'm sure you got your answer by now. But here's my two cents. Since I've owned my cyberbeast I've sold all my other cars since they just collected dust. Here's a list of cars I sold that I didnt drive because of the cyberbeast. 2020 R8, 2020 Porsche 911, 2021 Porsche Macan, 2019 Chevy Silverado Black Ops edition(cheated, sold this a few months before the beast, but I included it because it was sold to get the beast, who needs two trucks)

The driving of the truck is different than any other car/truck i've owned. You're going to love it. Also it will make all other cars feel old. I love my cybertbeast, hands down best vehicle ever, for everything. Speed, safety, toughness. I can use it for groceries, racing from light to light, making frog sounds with my horn, and throwing house remodel stuff in the truck bed. I'm looking for a boat right now to start towing from lake to lake.
