Idea for alternative to wrap: Magnetics …..

Might work on the CT but the magnet would need to be pretty strong. And I'd be worried about wind ripping it off easily at speed. The body is magnetic but barely. A strong magnet will hold just fine but a refrigerator magnet with any weight at all slides right off.

Yea my thoughts exactly, would be a cool option but if highway speed winds get under the edge of that magnet strip they are going to go flying.

These types of rubber magnets are engineered and can be made with very strong almost Halbach type field so the magnetic field is essentially on one side.

Most everything is magnetic, some metals are very magnetic. Ferrous metals (with Iron?) are often more magnetic. Some of those magnetic vehicle signs aren't all that strong but have a large service area and you put them on a large, flat, clean section and they stay on really well.

I wonder if they could cup the edges to help with alignment and to help them stay on. I'm guessing the panels are not uniform enough from truck to truck.
