I think the 30 min limit is a liability issue. Probably good for up to an hour? But if I was thinking straight in the heat of the battle I could have gone out to the truck and re-engage Wade mode.

I also could have tied off the boat! Surge was fast and we didn't think it would be that high.

Anyway.... Tesla says to go through State Farm to get tow to Clermont FL. Local Tesla isn't even accepting potential Flood vehicles.

Right.... Around peak I would have had to crawl out side window to go re-engage Wade mode.

Insurance asked some weird questions. Like were you in a mandatory evacuation zone. Like maybe there is some kind of exclusion. Need to go read the fine print before I talk to them again.

Tesla is hands off. Go through your insurance. If you tow it go all the way from Clearwater to Orlando. Tampa is not accepting vehicles.

About to order another if this is totaled. Would be nice to get some kind of break for FSD.

Wade mode pressurizes the pack, so it's a race between the escaping air and the ability to generate it.

The basic seals also are fighting against multiple ingress methods of water; some work on tension, others by seals, but over time the liquids will coat surfaces and sneak in. Soaking eventually wins.

And that's not counting the salts.

I’d try a home dehumidifier with the truck sealed up. I’d also put a box fan blowing under the seats.

do you think raising the truck to its highest setting and leaving it parked would have helped?
