I have about 13,000 on my AWD CT since May delivery.
I rent it out on Turo and had a reservation for it from 12/21 - 12/26.
On Friday 12/20 night after returning to the truck after 90 minutes at dinner I was greeted with -
  • TAS 2313: Adaptive ride control degraded. Ride comfort may be reduced.
  • D1 2223: Traction control disabled. Drive with caution.
  • D1 2222: Stability control disabled. Drive with caution.
  • 6:43 pm | IDL 2246: Automatic vehicle hold disabled. Use brake pedal when stopping.
  • 6:43 pm | APS 2W172: (No specific message provided, but it is part of the earlier today alerts.)

The truck moved into drive fine but with no FSD, no regen, no hold, & the errors I reset the interface with the scroll wheels and drove to a nearby supercharger to charge, vehicle accepted the charge but errors remained.
I called Tesla support, they confirmed they could see the errors but a "reset" failed....they recommended a service center visit. (I already have the "next available" previously scheduled for 1/13/25).
I messaged the guest to notify him of possible issues.

But Saturday morning the truck was fine, I drove it around all day and to the airport to drop off for the Turo client.

By Sunday afternoon the errors recurred and the renter dropped the truck off at a Supercharger and terminated the rental agreement.

I picked up the truck late Sunday evening and the errors were resolved. Nonetheless rather than return home with a flaky truck we dropped it off at the SC last night.

Anyone here seen similar issues?

Anyone care to guess WTF is going on?

Jeez, no warning signs? Makes me nervous - it must be beyond disheartening to come back to that.

Yes I'm pretty angry and frustrated, first drivability issue I've encountered. I chalk it up to early adopter tax. Still love the truck, just angry I'm now out about $1,000 in lost Turo revenue

I do appreciate you Turo guys. I rented one off of there before buying mine (and before CT test drives were made available). Personally I wouldn’t trust a stranger with my truck, but I’m glad people like you exist lol

I kept my Model Y and listed both on Turo. Doesn't really concern me as I stopped caring about "things" (especially if insured) a long time ago.....

Yes, I've been having the same errors come up seemingly randomly. All except the APS 2W172. From what I can tell through researching, it seems like it's a problem with the Low Voltage Electrical System which could be caused by a few things including a bad Controller Module. However, I just had the CT into service for the same problem as well as rear axle and critical errors thrown after a supercharger visit.

I'm not an engineer by any stretch but my gut tells me this is not a simple fix. My CT is still drivable but my sphincter is pretty tight when I get in and wait for the errors to be thrown. The first time I got the Automatic vehicle hold disabled, I almost ran through a stop sign since I expected it to brake. My fault. I should have been prepared for it.

I would normally chalk these issues up to the fact that this is a new v1 product but the CT is far from the first model Tesla. And I'm hearing plenty of CT owners say they are having no problems at all.

I really love this thing but it takes away from the experience when I have to worry about being stranded on the side of the highway hundreds of miles from home. I have a SC appointment scheduled for Dec 31 but I have 500 miles to go to get home. ?

If you search forum for "traction control disabled" you will see others have seen this combo of errors. It starts out intermittent, able to be reset through a sleep cycle for the truck. Generally, it can go week/months as a minor-ish problem, but then it will become more prevalent. Most have been told it's a comms problem with the ABS module. Others have been told HCU (hydraulic control module).

To the OP, did they give you a loaner when you dropped it off?

Those with these errors, please post the few digits of your VIN so the rest of us can know where these problems are happening. You can x out the last 3 number digits, for example mine is a 43xxx series delivered in November.

Thanks, my SC said they'd try to get to it this week or next. I've had no issues until this.

I dropped it at 10:00p on a Sunday night, no one there to ask for a loaner

Ha, so glad they didn’t wreck your vehicle, having still rented the vehicle with known prior mechanical and electronic failures.

?

But glad you are on the road to repair.
