I live on the coast in California and anything that isn't stainless steel or plastic (including wood) gets destroyed by salt air and fog, so as soon as I saw that the CT was going to be stainless (and would have a possible range of 500 miles, when my trigger was 400 miles) I was sold. It is only the inland empire in California that doesn't have a salty air problem. Anyone west of the coastal range, most everyone on the bays, and anyone living where there are no coastal ranges in many miles from the coast would experience it. So we have very practical reasons for wanting a Cybertruck and personally I do not really care what it looks like (and am a bit intimidated by its size - going to see it in person at the Petersen helped to allay some of that intimidation).

By dealerships I meant non-Tesla dealerships as Tesla has showrooms and only sells online. I watch A LOT of EV YouTube videos and I swear one of the hosts said they got a Model 3 before many reservation holders. But like you said it might have been because someone else was waiting on a particular trim.
Yes, if you were willing to accept a vehicle from Tesla's inventory - something that was built but the buyer refused it or it had gotten refurbished for some reason - you could jump to the front of the queue.

This is only half correct. Elon 100% jumped influencers and others ahead of early reservation holders in almost every prior launch. This happened ...
There is no evidence of this. There has never been evidence of this. They've always been first-day reservation holders already.

Well one might be a little off on this statement.

Proof positive. VIN of a 3 in the 2000s. Never had a reservation like line waiters. Make sure you know Tesla before statements such as those. Then again no evidence you have seen. Are you familiar with the term blinders on?

Complete sentences would be easier to understand.

What's proof positive? What does VIN have to do with anything? Who? How?

There's no evidence here.

What line did you wait in when you waited for a model 3? I heard about those people. I even read about lines and outside of stores etc. All I'm saying is I have a VIN of an early three VIN number lower than 2000. Dec 2017 delivery that I took delivery of and never waited in any line. Own multiple Teslas and just said I wanted one. If you read earlier in the thread you'd see that exact statement, but maybe you missed it. 🤔 Is that easy enough for you to understand. I'm sorry I do voice to text and I travel about 70,000 mi a year in my car. I don't have in time to sit in front of a computer and respond. I did look at my previous note and those are sentences.

Evidence. What type would you like? Like me and my Instagram picture?

Your dictation makes you difficult to understand. No one writes "Model 3" as "three" lol

But yeah, Tesla quickly opened the M3 sales to everyone, they didn't have 2 million people in the queue either.

Come on Gus. Your telling me the que was open in Dec 2017? I know your from another place. So you're saying because I write model 3 as 3 lol and it's dictation via voice text because like I said I drive 70,000 some odd miles a year. What is that? Are you calling BS?

How many people have that nice headliner that disappeared at vin 2500? Or the nice orange roof..

And they sold alot of Model 3 that they batch built that didn't match order specs. Right out of stores. While people on the reservation list were waiting for performance models or cheaper models or whatever.

No one has disputed this. I note that the other poster doesn't say:

How did they order
What they ordered (other than 'model 3')

I refuse to have an argument with someone who fails to take basic time to edit their argument.

Orders weren't open to the general public until summer 2018. But from the very beginning, if you were willing to take something from inventory or didn't care about any specific feature, you could get your car much earlier.
