The vehicle's will always get better, but you can't regain the past.
A significant hardware step change in performance is unlikely and there is no guarantee Tesla won't reduce cell count to maintain pack capacity if silicon is added to boost cell energy density.

No one here can really answer that. It could be next year. Tesla constantly adds improvements to vehicles outside of a normal calendar upgrade, but they also eliminate things regularly. The MS/X lost steam recently, the M3/Y lost passenger lumbar, the mobile charging cable used to come with cars and is now an option (that is included with the FS CT). The MS/X lost a speaker...all cars lost USS and radar, but newer cars received HW4 (randomly).

Sometimes the changes are for the worst for the consumer, but benefit Tesla and vis-versa. Waiting for "x" improvement, which sometimes never comes (see the ambient lighting in the MS/X) can also mean you lose other things.

Agreed. Elon seems hell bent that 300-400 miles is more than enough for anyone.

AI5/HW5 is a bigger upgrade than these cell changes, which should start shipping at the end of 2025, but then HW6 will come out or a new MCU. There's always something in the pipeline.

Man, my decision is easy here.... According to the order tracker, I'm down about 499,000 on the list. But, only about 149,000 down the Beast list...
I'll pay the premium to not have to wait any further. When they make a more compelling vehicle... well, we'll see...
