Congrats! Are you running out to get some snow shoes for your CT or sticking with the all terrains for the rest of the season?

Thanks! Probably gonna stick with the ATs for the time being. Figure I’ll probably wear them out by next winter….

Truck actually doing really well in the snow! The BAW is driving the snow struggle bus a bit tho…. Haha. I’ll post picture tonight.

Cheers!

Hi peeps!

I know a delivery isn’t really news these day but thought I’d post a small bit since I don’t think we’ve had any other Utah deliveries here.

First off, it sounds like all Utah deliveries are taking place at the Pleasant Grove service center within is about 40 minutes south of Salt Lake.

Delivery was smooooth. Shout out to Ethan and Brandon! Those dude were super friendly, knowledgeable and really easy to work with even though they were being crushed with Model Y deliveries and other peeps wanting to test drive the Y.

My truck’s fit and finish is excellent minus a couple of small issues that I probably wouldn’t have even noticed if my mind hadn’t been warped by the 2018 M3 I own that looks like it was assembled by a drunk toddler…. Hahaha

Anyway, feel free to ask any questions if you have any.

Also, enjoy this pic of my CT covered in snow during today’s amazing snowstorm in the SLC!

Cheers!!

Congrats on delivery. If they have nine CT’s at Pleasant Grove SC and no one else from Utah has a vin, that tells me very few Utahns are participating in this forum. My order (12/22) was like a week after you so I have been expecting a vin any day. Do you think PG is so busy they haven’t had time to prep the trucks they have had for weeks? My impression in the beginning was vins were issued when they hit the production line in Austin. Now it seems that Tesla doesn’t issue a vin until it is at the SC. That was the case with yours. It is odd that at least 5 trucks have been there at the SC for weeks. Im happy you had a good experience as that bodes well for the rest of us.

Like I said, nothing major. Made a service appointment to see if they could fix but even if not, overall stoked with the truck! Everything else is muy bueno!

PS. I just noticed my feet in the slides on one of the pics.. ewwwwwwww. Lol

That’s how nice the weather was this morning before this snow dump.

Utah! Lol!

This actually looks like a pretty big defect. Notice how the gap is very even, but the bend line on the doors doesn't match? The bend is in the wrong place. It should exactly meet the pointiest part, which it doesn't.

Thank you for posting! Utah boy here January 2nd order. Such great news to have a Utah delivery posted. I know CTs have been spotted in Pleasant Grove but nobody was posting here so it is nice to hear from someone. It feels closer and more real now.
How is it in the snow? My MYLR is pretty bad in the snow. The tires that came on it are pretty bad.

still Cannot believe since i gave you the wish for your VIN crying, you were like in a lighting fast track to get the vehicle.

The most stunning prophecy I ever made.

Congrats and I ❤Utah!

Also in Utah. Ordered 12/26. No vin. When you did get your vin, did you see it in the app or get a text first?

Any update on the wheel covers? Hoping they will have a fix or replacement by the time mine arrives.

I'm looking forward to hearing about the OEM tires in snow conditions..by real skiers, not gapers / YouTubers.

So seeing your asking, and you have a CT, lets do some real tests that are actually useful!

First one is if we can organise a wheel articulation test on the suspension. Easiest way would be to have a ramp for one wheel to drive up, and then measure how far it gets up forwards before the rear wheel on that same side lifts off the ground.

Something like this:

The trick here is to do it safely, so ideally it would be a concrete ramp, or something fixed to the ground so it can't tip. A ramp like his works, but looks custom built, and you have to be careful not to steer so you don't push it over. Really a two person job. So finding some terrain or a retaining wall to use, sometimes found in garden centres so separating sand etc, might be the way to go. You can obviously also try it offroad, but the question is what is "level".
