Something I’ve been wondering, and you offered to answer questions, and seem to understand what clearing snow off a car is like…
Can you flip the BAW up so it’s out of the way when clearing snow off the CT?

If it can, it will look like a giant nocturnal penile tumescence (NPT) ?

Reviewers have noted that the BAW does not "flip up". However...

Per the manual:
Cold Weather Best Practices
To ensure that Cybertruck provides you with the best ownership experience possible in harsh cold weather conditions, follow these best practices.
Before Driving
When snow and ice accumulate on your vehicle, moving parts, such as the doors, windows, mirrors, and the wiper can freeze in place. To achieve maximum range and performance, it is helpful to warm the cabin and Battery before driving. There are several ways to do so:
  • Touch Schedule, available on both the charging and climate control screens, to set a time when you want your vehicle to be ready to drive (see Schedule at this Location).
  • In the mobile app, navigate to Climate to customize the temperature at which you want to heat the cabin. This also warms the high voltage Battery as needed.
  • In the mobile app, navigate to Climate to melt snow, ice, and frost on the windshield, charge port, windows, and mirrors. This also warms the high voltage Battery as needed.
Thanks @CyberGus. Not sure how I missed it being mentioned in other reviews.
It’s a shame they didn’t add that feature. The fact that the CT doesn’t have a window wiper trough was something I liked because of it being easier to clear the snow off. With the BAW flipped up, I think it would take about 30 seconds to clear the snow off the entire truck using a full size push broom as a snow brush.
I guess it’s not that big of a deal. Yes, for light snow, simply preheating the vehicle will clear the snow off. But the real snow storms we get, there’s a lot of snow to melt. Although if this year is a sign of winters to come, sadly it won’t be an issue.

Congrats @DumpsterFire !

Congrats! I live in Orem and drive by weekly to see the lineup of CTs. I put down my $1k on Dec 30ths, but still no VIN. When I ordered it say Jan-Mar, so hopeful my VIN is coming soon. Any idea how long you had to wait?

Hi peeps!

I know a delivery isn’t really news these day but thought I’d post a small bit since I don’t think we’ve had any other Utah deliveries here.

First off, it sounds like all Utah deliveries are taking place at the Pleasant Grove service center within is about 40 minutes south of Salt Lake.

Delivery was smooooth. Shout out to Ethan and Brandon! Those dude were super friendly, knowledgeable and really easy to work with even though they were being crushed with Model Y deliveries and other peeps wanting to test drive the Y.

My truck’s fit and finish is excellent minus a couple of small issues that I probably wouldn’t have even noticed if my mind hadn’t been warped by the 2018 M3 I own that looks like it was assembled by a drunk toddler…. Hahaha

Anyway, feel free to ask any questions if you have any.

Also, enjoy this pic of my CT covered in snow during today’s amazing snowstorm in the SLC!

Cheers!!

Pretty good in the snow! I think I’ll def get some AS tires for it for winter use. The AT tires seem to slide around a bit but not bad.

Yeah with my M3 I bought straight up snow tires for winter use. The tires that came with it are great for summer but no bueno for winter for sure! Haha
Yeah. The Model Y tires are borderline dangerous on snow. I am holding off because my CT is getting close. Should get my VIN in the next couple weeks and I know it would be my luck to get snow tires the day before my VIN finally comes. Today was a sketch drive to the airport in the Model Y though.

Yup. @CyberGus nailed it.

honestly though, I haven’t found the fact that the BAW doesn’t flip up to be an issue at all.

The vertical orientation of it really keeps it out of the way while you’re clearing snow off. Just push the snow from the drivers side to the passenger side as you clear it and it’s all good!

That being said one thing I have noticed that as it clears the snow on the down swoop, the snow does collect on the bottom of the windshield and piles up pretty quickly during a heavy snow dump. Not a big deal just an observation. Had to clear it by hand after stopping to get dinner with the wifey.

cheers!

Haven't been around much but I have to post a big ol congrats for you @DumpsterFire. So happy for you.

What is one of your favorite thing about the CT so far?
Hey Bruce! Nice to see you around here again!

so the one favorite thing I love about the truck is def the steer by wire. It’s a huge deal on such a big vehicle. Take some getting use to for a hot minute or two but the tight turning radius is insane!!

from a non vehicle standpoint, It’s the reaction from kids when they see the truck in person for the first time.

Getting mobbed by a group of junior higschoolers at our favorite local sandwich joint on a Saturday afternoon was unexpected…..

hilarious!! Hahaha!

Tesla needs to add a heated windshield or a heating element along the bottom of the windshield if it's not already installed ?

That’d be sweet for sure! That being said the defrost I the CT is super powerful. Seems much more so than my 3 but maybe I’m just telling myself that…. ?

Awesome man!!!!! Picked mine up a few weeks ago down in PG. They basically handed me the keys and paperwork and off I went! Maybe it's because I said I had no questions? I was fine with it as I was ready to roll. Do you have any plans for it? Congrats again!

I'm in St George UT, and have a RN of 11274xxxx which appears to be earlier than most deliveries that are happening, but still no VIN. Got email to order on 12/19 and placed order same day. My delivery location will be Vegas, so perhaps they haven't started shipping there for some reason? Any Vegas deliveries known on here?

I've got a youth esports league and want to wrap it for that. Any thoughts on the potential wrap?
