One of the features that I absolutely feel is needed in my lifestyle.

Noticed that the ventilated seats when enabled and turning the HVAC system to an off state, the fans are still going. In my opinion they should also turn off.

They aren't actually on. The app shows their settings even when the climate control is turned off.

Odd because I literally had my ventilated seats enabled. I am sitting in the car. I set HVAC to off. I can hear the system turn off the air condition and I can literally still hear the fan and feel the air on the seat, mines are still in an on state after turning it off. I still feel the air blowing on my back.

Had this issue too a while back. Added it to a service appointment that I already had scheduled for something else, they confirmed. Said they notified their engineers or whatever and suggested I set them to auto until there is a fix. When they’re on auto, they will turn off when you exit the truck.

Are you sitting in driver's seat?
I tested sitting in the back with vehicle locked and asleep.

Mine does the same thing. The seat fan stays on when the climate is off. I assumed this was by design so you can have the seat fans on while the windows are down on nice days.

use a search of this forum for multiple discussions about seats, but in the nutshell:
  1. Seats are not cooled, simply ventilated
  2. Ventilation of seats has nothing to do with AC and not tied to it
  3. Seats don't blow air, they suck air "removing" heat away from body
I actually did use the search before creating the post. I had an issue that I couuldnt find, so I posted a new thread. 1 and 3 I tend to agree. #2 I have to challenge and disagree. Even though you think its just fans and not related to a HVAC system, the only way to get to controlling the ventilated seats is through the HVAC user interface. Hence they have something to do with not just AC but the HV(ventilation)AC. If we are going through semantics.

Yes I was in the driver seat when testing.

Thank you. Setting to “auto” seemed to do the trick. It took longer than I though but I do not hear the fans stay on. Thank you.

I tried the seat cooling for the first time yesterday and found it awkward to turn off. The choices of Cool-Heat-Auto should include an “Off" as well. I found I could keep pressing the seat icon to change the intensity and eventually to off, was quite a distracting process. Pressing the seat icon was the only way I could find to turn off the seat ventilation and keep the AC on. Not ideal.
