I used this. Insert this on the weather seal touching the roof glass. Use the existing seal as the anchor for this door edge protector. It seals that area real tight. Tesla's weather seal isn't cutting it (I have a August 2025 build), water still got in especially during power washes. I tested it through heavy rain and power washes, not one drop got in.

Where did you insert this? On the fixed part of the metal right below the roof glass or on the removable appliqué over the existing rubber seal?

on the removable applique over the rubber seal. Slide out that rubber seal first then insert the door edge guard over it. Then reslide the applique back to the metal aero cover. Reinstall the aero cover. You might need to force it a little bit to reinstall but it should go in.

Interesting, will order this one too, to have it on hand in case the windshield tape fails. Thanks!

I initially bought that one to put it on my doors but as a protection for the other cars in the parking lot. Turns out sealing the bed is a better use for it lol

Find one that isn't glossy so it would be unnoticeable. Mine sticks out a little bit but people who owns this truck will only notice it.

Windshield strip stopped leaking at the appliqué and roof glass, but after a car wash still let water in I identified one more issue, the appliqué was too high in relation to the slats so I gave the clips on both sides another couple of turns so that the brush strip on appliqué barely makes contact with the slats and hoping closing out this gap will now help with water intrusion on that front too. Will check it out at the next car wash. Had to remove the windshield strip, tighten everything back down and reinstall a new strip. We'll see. Really hope it makes a difference.
