good stuff, cheaper manafacturing, vastly cheaper battery prices was it 50% less?, greater density and what was it, 60% increase range? I cant say im a fan of the integrated battery though, if issues arise it will be SO much harder to fix.

Missed the whole thing - any Cybertruck news?
only, they will almost certainly put a/c in the bed/vault area. and production will try to be 200-300k vehicles per year, i think thats all. also they are using different battery chemistrys for different products, so ct and semi will use the best basically, high cycle life, high range

Here's the summary slide for total benefits of vertical integration (increase the range by 54%, reduce the cost per KWH by 56 percent and reducing investment cost per GWH by 69%)...

Something that Elon said "about 3 years from now we can make a $25,000 car that's also Fully Autonomous".
Also they labeled it a small robotaxi.

That's very likely the battery going into the Cybertruck
I Hope so! Timeline doesn't quite match up?? 12-16 months for new cell production but Cybertruck starting production in 12? Maybe just doesn't want to say for Ozborne effect? Double range of CT or just less battery space needed for posted ranges?

Does this mean the Tri-motor CT will get 770 miles on a charge?

So I have to wonder, does the CT get a boost in range?
All of the quoted range figures for the CT have a + on the end. So we have no idea what the range will be right now. Some smart folks around here are expecting something like 625/350/300.

Overall, I thought it was a great presentation, a lot of positive, well explained and what seem to be reasonably probable improvements, that are in total, revolutionary.
54% improvement in range is paradigm shifting the world !
57% drop in cost is phenomenal !

However !

Elon is a phenomenal force for good, I'd suggest even a genius, but some of his mistakes are so unnecessary and so obvious.

The most hilarious stupid lie, I could ever imagine anybody in business ever saying !!

And its about the orders (and money deposits) a business has collected from customers, Cybertruck customers. ASTOUNDING, WOW !

“We stopped counting, I don’t know 500,000 —- 600 or 700 reservations?”

54% increase in range, brilliant :

However we’re not actually 100% there, ("close to working" in our pilot plant ) maybe in 3 years time, maybe, Let us stress that we really have explained it well, why we have serious, genuine prospects of doing so, but they are none the less projections, we have not actually solved all the problems to get to 100% certainty of production at scale, for the benefits we have explained are available for us to gain, in our prospective supplier chain, production design.

Case in point :

Plaid range is still not actually nailed down, and we have not disclosed the battery that goes along with Plaid, is it based on the 2170 cell or the prospective 4680 cell, we haven’t determined what the battery pack capacity is either, but hey the Model S plaid available at the end of 2021 will get more than 520 miles range !

Hmmmm, is it a coincidence that >520 mile is just marginally bigger than the EPA 517 mile range the Lucid has been validated at !

As for the Global customers, who have ordered and we’ve collected their money, let me reiterate, no chance of the Cybertruck being homologated and being sold in the general market where you are. But let me leave you with the prospect of a cool “wolverine smaller Cybertruck” (intriguing ) at some unspecified time in the future . Not Happy Jan . . . .

And apparently neither is the sharemarket that has thumped the price in after hours trading.

P.S. the other positive thing that can be reasonably reinforced is that the Plaid Cybertruck with the dual battery packs will comfortably get 700 miles if the Model S with one battery pack gets more than 520 miles.
