ASS isn't even using e2e, it's not comparable to FSD on city streets. ASS is also supervised, you have to monitor your car. You make an agreement that you will monitor your car at all times. They even give you a camera feed with ASS (didn't with the old Summon). That's why all the wrecks on the old summon stack Tesla wasn't at fault.

It is geofencing, but for different reasons than Waymo. They will likely use mapping like they did at WB for more accurate data.
You can continue to be obtuse as long as you like. If you think that the technology that they’re using to have the car drive itself while I’m monitoring it from the app through the cameras [but it’s literally doing everything else on its own] is so dissimilar from full self driving unsupervised that they’re not getting meaningful data/learnings from it, then I leave you to your broken brain, ‘cause I’m not here to save you. ??‍♂

That's due to regulatory approval not a limitation imposed by Tesla. CA is the hardest place to drive if it works there anyplace else will be a piece of cake.
Our roads are much simpler, and you can sue Caltrans if they're not. So... not quite.

Well, the idea is that the vehicles will do the mapping for them - so the next car can notice the changes so the next car can 'remember' if there's some hazard. Just like a Human driver might.

But they're always going to be geofenced to where they're legal. They're always going to be geofenced to their operator's range.

Like, if you owned a robotaxi, you wouldn't want it to get t-boned or a flate tire outside of where you could get it towed home from, right?

Yes. ASS was built like V11 with hard rules and NN. It reached it's ceiling on public roads and V12 was created as e2e. ASS can't handle near the complexity.

You think ASS is impressive, but what FSD is doing is far more complex.

‘Cause none of my cars have that; and if I recall the thesis it was Waymo wins because of LiDar. All this hair splitting you’re doing doesn’t seem to be advancing that contention.

I’m wondering if you have a point at this point.

Tesla Cybercab does NOT "SELL" FOR $30,000.
Today production sell-able Tesla Cybercab do NOT exist.
Today you can NOT own one.

Elon claims in late 2026 the Tesla Cybercab MIGHT be available for sale at price $30,000.

But in reallity it might be 2027-2028 the Tesla Cybercab MIGHT be available for sale at price $30,000.
BUT it might be much later than 2027 and might cost a lot more than $30,000.
