I've got a whining sound that started about 3 months ago. Cyberbeast purchased Dec 2024, currently at 20k miles.

I only hear it at a stop or at super slow speeds (under 5 mph). Not sure if it's drowned out by wind noise at higher speeds or if it just isn't there.

I initially thought it was HVAC-related, but it persists even with HVAC fully off.

The two videos below were taken parked, right after a drive — I'd been hearing it shortly before I pulled in. It's consistent every time.

Anyone experienced something similar or know what this might be?

Try turning off your ventilated seats

It’s not that. Tested with the entire HVAC system off, including the seats.
👍 Just making sure. It took me a bit of headscratching regarding the ventilated seats noise

Sounds like the heat pump, only thing that makes that noise, my guess is that it could be going bad, I would bring it in

Update: I found the likely cause.

My infotainment jumps anywhere between 88c and 97c extremely quickly. I AI'd a possible cause and it said lodged air bubbles. So I ran coolant purge and thermal performance test. Both done and passed, but did not help.

The pumps spin up when the infotainment temperature rises and speeds drop when it drops to about 85c
