LOL. I'd recommend the opposite. Year and a half and still looking good. Save the money you just spent making the truck look like it already did and put it into a tires account.Agreed. Does fine, doesn't scratch. If you can afford it I also recommend wrapping in clear PPF if you like to keep the stainless look. I did gloss clear PPF and it looks incredible and is extremely easy to clean, does fine in a car wash, and no fingerprints!
agree, great tires can raise the experienceLOL. I'd recommend the opposite. Year and a half and still looking good. Save the money you just spent making the truck look like it already did and put it into a tires account.
I have 32,000 miles on my AT originals and it's time to start looking and researching. I like the mild aggressive look of my tires but wouldn't mind getting more range but not at the expense of losing a lot of the look.agree, great tires can raise the experience
AT
Goodyear ATs/winter are amazing all around, off-roading in sand, came with my CT
Did great in this winters insane snow
Got on the beach and did good
MT
BFG KM3 the best for deep sand Baja mode
AS
Michelin best for AS high miles, long highway drives
with such a versatile truck, you need at least two sets of tires
1. AS for 340 miles and roadtrips
2. MT for extreme off road
Or AT for mild off road
This is likely more related to off gassing of new plastics. The first few months (and really more of a sun exposure thing) will have the plastics off gas and leave a film on the windshield and roof glass. Once that is done, the build up is minimal. CT seems to be worse because of the pure size of the windshield, but it goes away like it does on all new cars.Get your windshield tinted, as you will not be struggling to clean the inside of your windshield nearly as often. I was cleaning my windshield at least once a week before tinting. Now every few months.
Do you have a list of the most useful voice commands?First and foremost, don't just READ the Owners Manual, STUDY it! The Cybertruck is a technology marvel, and as such it includes many different systems, controls, and settings. Learn how to use the hands-free "Voice Commands". This allows you to control many of the operational systems without taking your eyes off the road. A very popular command is "Wipers OFF!".
Also explore all the Apps that are available.
If you don't have a garage for your new CT, get a car cover for it. You can take it with you when you travel. It doesn't have to be heavy or expensive. My wife found an inexpensive (less than a CT wiper blade) light weight car cover on amazon over 18 months ago and it's working great. It's easy to cover and remove, and to my surprise still no holes or tears.
Thankfully I didn’t pay for the wrap since it was so early and in those days wrap shops wanted the advertisingLOL. I'd recommend the opposite. Year and a half and still looking good. Save the money you just spent making the truck look like it already did and put it into a tires account.
That happens as you say, but the tinting had an immediate effect, which is not consistent With slowing outgassing. This is likely more related to off gassing of new plastics. There is an exponential decay component to it... so entirely possible it stops rather quickly. I know my first ~3-4 months were nearly weekly cleaning of the windshield. Then it suddenly stopped and I only clean every few months (at most) now. Tint does not stop the process, it just absorbs it vs making a film. The real way to stop it to seal the whole interior. That happens as you say, but the tinting had an immediate effect, which is not consistent With slowing outgassing.
I wasn't being fair. I really like a lot of the wraps. They are great cosmetic adds to the Cybertruck. I would just advise a new owner to enjoy it like it is and a wrap is not necessary. After having it for a while and want a change? Sure. Fire away.Thankfully I didn’t pay for the wrap since it was so early and in those days wrap shops wanted the advertising
You do not know that tinting does not help- you are guessing. I am speaking from experience. The tinting helped - no question in my mind. I have tinted windshields before and know the benefits (both of my 3s had them tinted). And I'm not saying zero benefit, I'm saying any benefits are absorption related and doesn't stop the source of the issue that is off gassing. Which that has exponential decay and will be minimal after so many months regardless of tint. That is just how this works scientifically. You do not know that tinting does not help- you are guessing. Yea I love the way the truck looks with the stainless, I wouldn't change that. That's why I went with the clear PPF as wellI wasn't being fair. I really like a lot of the wraps. I'm currently intrigued with a tinted clear PPF...
I guess you are a scientist, so I feel ok to mention that outgassing does not accelerate over time, but in fact slows down. You seem to want to score points rather than accept that it really can and does help with windshield cleaning if the windshield is tinted. Or, do you deny that fact entirely? If so I call bs.I have tinted windshields before and know the benefits (both of my 3s had them tinted). I stated exponential decay... which is slowing down at a quickening rate.I guess you are a scientist, so I feel ok to mention that outgassing does not accelerate over time, but in fact slows down.
