Let me reach out to our partner in this location and follow up if he'd lower the price + confirm how long. I agree, it's likely a 2 days engagement.
As for adding more shops - working on it, but it takes time :(
Let me know. Port charlotte is about 2 hrs from me. Still would likely have to get a hotel. Maybe if something can be worked out… I’d spring for it. Ty for reply

Just emailed him but given how late it is I don't realistically expect a response tonight...hopefully tomorrow though :)

any ideas what i should wrap it
It depends in you of course. Black or White can't go wrong.

IMO: Don't do 'gloss' wrap - it really augments the lack of panels flatness - and makes the CT panels look really bad IMO.

OK, maybe an unpopular opinion incoming...

But, why in the f*ck would you want a boring "color?"

You are wrapping it. Be creative. Where is everyone's creativity?! You can print whatver the f*ck you want on Vinyl and wrap it around your truck.

I shit you not, when my wrappers wrapped my truck they thanked me profusely that "Thank god you did somethingy creative, we are so fucking bored of wrapping black Cybertrucks!" They literally said "people have no creativity. Yours was a breath of fresh air and is hands-down the best one we have wrapped in over a year."

This is a true story. I kid you not.

Colors are for old-school paint jobs. Vinyl Wraps are for anything you can dream up.

P.S.- Also, my area of the world is no longer littered with plain S.S. "refrigerator" Cybertrucks, but instead is now littered with nearly identical black wrapped cybertrucks...I honestly can't understand it...like nobody wanted their CT to be the same S.S. finish to look like everyone else, so they all wrapped them black and they now all look.... just like everybody else...

You can't make this shit up. But it's a real phenomenon around here...

I hear you but here is a counter argument - many people don't want a vinyl wrap because they don't last long. You can't do graphics on a PPF wrap, and double wrapping (vinyl + PPF on top) is too expensive.

OK, what exactly is the counter argument here? I actually don't know that much about this stuff. This was the first time I ever had a vehicle wrapped.

I was told it was a really high-end, quality material that comes with like a 10-year (or maybe 7-year) warranty. I also got a 5-year rated ceramic coating on top of it (which makes it really easy to keep clean). The place seemed pretty professional about everything and has really high custiomer approvals/reviews.

Vinyl is thin and not self healing. Often times it will rip from rocks, while PPF in the other hand is thick and self healing, mostly unaffected by regular road debris. I would be surprised if anyone offered 7-10 years warranty on vinyl and stands by it, it seems like a sure way to bankrupt yourself unless your business model is to hope that people sell/crash the car within 2-3 years of wrapping :)

Due to how these 2 are made, vinyl can be printed on, but you can't print anything on PPF so the conventional way of getting custom graphics and PPF protection is to do vinyl first and PPF on top of it, but as I said this is pretty expensive. I've seen some people do vinyl and then PPF only on the front which makes sense but creates a different shine.

I also had them put clear PPF on the headlights, cyberlight thing, etc. in the front. Just yesterday i got too close to the headlight with my pressure washer trying to get some bug guts off it and it ripped a hole in it. It looks pretty stretchy and I was going to check on it again today. I think I may have noticed it was like going back to its original shape on it's own or something.

So, you are saying that many people get PPF wrap in some color, because you can't print on PPF, and they want a more durable wrap material? What is the cost difference though vs. just rewrapping in vinyl again a few years down the road if it gets to raggedy?

It was my understanding that was the vinyl manufacturer's warranty from defects. Maybe I misunderstood. It obviously would not cover damage to the vinyl from rocks, or keying from extremists with Elon Derangment Syndrome, or whatever. But also, the wrappers will fix anything along the way if there was any workmanship issue, like it it peeled up or something. They have a good reputation for that and they aren't nit-picky abouit those things (although I have had no issues yet anyway).

Depends on your tolerance. It's way more difficult and time consuming to make look perfect, but easier to simply clean bugs/etc.

The S.S. shows every finger print and imperfection. It is easy to just wipe off with some sprayway, but having to constanly do that all the time gets tedious.

My wrap, on the other hand, especially with its ceramic coating, never shows any fingerprints, and keeps looking clean even if it's dirty due to its predominant white and light colors and it's camo effect which makes it difficult for the human eye to identify any dirty areas...and especially at a distance (like driving down the road).

I do my own car care and I find the wrap + ceramic to be way, way, easier to maintain than it was when it was the just the bare S.S. (see above post).

"Difficult" is subjective, and relative...
