Here is what you should NOT buy:
* 8Bitdo Pro 2 Hall Effect Joysticks/Hall Trigger Wired Controller
* 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C Wired Controller for Windows PC and Android
* 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C Wireless Controller for Windows PC and Android
* Jowua Multi-Device Wireless Controller Compatible for Tesla Model 3/Y/S/X/cybertruck
Why 2.4ghz?
I have a USB splitter in the glove box with a storage drive for sentry, and two 2.4ghz dongles. The goal is to be able to pull out a pair of controllers and play a two-player game with minimal setup time. My wife and I will have our phones pair on Bluetooth. I don't want to deal with the annoyance of having to switch Bluetooth to the controllers and I don't want to disconnect the phones as I would prefer to keep them paired. Corded controllers are also annoying because of the cord, but if 2.4ghz is just really not an option, I would consider this if you know of a product that actually works well.
The Jowua brought me closest to victory. The dongles are in the glove box, and simply pulling out the controllers and turning them on does indeed work. The problem is that they stop working after 5 minutes or so. Allegedly this might be some sort of interference where they don't like having two controllers in the same 2.4ghz air space. Idk... I returned them.
Is anyone else running a setup like this? What are you using?
