Rivian will need more. Great product, and amazing team. I suspect Rivian will be bought by Amazon after their stock crashes within the next year or 2. Rivian will then be propped up as the ultimate rival to everything Tesla, with a brand and lineup to put Amazon tech in to compete with Tesla. Cars have become the business of high-tech companies since Tesla started really pushing the last few years. Apple rumors have it also in the works some place, and I get the feeling some Japanese makers are about to get real cheap and need a buyout or 2 soon for Apple.
I don't suspect they will make it at the current burn rates, but I doubt it will go by without a large company buying them. Amazon already has 20%, what's another couple billion to a Trillion $ company?
