Will waiting to do finance slow down my order?

I am at the delivery task of finance. As I live in florida I imagine my foundation edition will be closer to March than January so I don’t want to do the application again.

Am I safe to wait until they give me a window, Or will I not get a window if I don’t finish the task?

I actually called Tesla like 2 hours ago and asked that specific question, they said that not finishing it will not delay getting a VIN assigned but make sure to complete it as soon as you are notified of a VIN assignment.

There is one member here who is stating he was given a three-day window to pick up the truck. That's Vin to pick up in three days. My guess is it was someone else's truck that was refused or fell through but regardless I would make sure all your ducks are in a row as the date gets closer. Get all of the documentation you might need, proof of income etc. That way you're ready to go at the drop of a hat.

I ordered both, selecting "Cash". Once I got VIN's I called/texted and said I'm going to finance them (remember those early pandemic days with <2% rates, haha!!).

My advisor/salesperson updated my purchase agreements and all was well. Easy-peasy.

That is specifically what they told me to do with mine. So now I have all my paperwork in order in the moment they call me with the Vin, I will do the application
