The stock A/T tires should be perfectly fine, the ones Tesla sells aren’t dedicated Winter tires, why waste money on them? That said they are Duratrac’s and I would say those tires are better than the ones that come on the truck.

I’m Canada we get cheaper insurance with the snowflake on the side. In Quebec it is mandatory to have them.

Thanks all, getting my Tesla winter tires installed this morning. September order date (used CT $2500 voucher) so glad I at least have some winter left.
I've had mine on for a month now. I love them! I did not put the aero covers on, but man these things look mean, and handle very well in the rain and snow!

Interesting I didn’t know that, appreciate the information!!
No problem. It also sort of forces a rotation twice a year. All the tires last longer and they are OEM wheels that fit the cover. For the price from the SC is a great deal. When the winters wear out I will try probably put on some Nokians.

So Tesla’s winter package isn’t good for under 45 degrees F? Explain…
I have them - and no they arent that good on slick surfaces. I am in VT and we have an inch or more quite often. Seems like every day since Jan 1. The RT tires just slip around too much. They are very good in deeper snow. But on slick, plowed, and firmer snow surfaces and ice, they spin and when turning they go wide. I have to switch to smaller blizzaks at some point, but I am hoping to make it through this season with the RTs.

There is a second cybertruck at my ski resort with blizzaks and they owner says the truck is incredible in ice and snow. And the truck looks great with them too.

I love the RTs and will run them 8 months out of the year. Its just those slick days that they do not do well in - or not as well as blizzaks.

Quick update, after sloshing around on Duratrac RTs, I just ordered blizzaks. The Duratracs rock, but they arent very good on ice. I will report back on the blizzaks (hope to install in a few days)
