Mine does that. I stopped noticing it after awhile. Better than it not actually working ?

Mine seems to do it every now and then as well...sometimes stays down for 5-10 seconds then goes back up.

This is what the recall is for.

No it’s not. The recall is due to overcurrent frying the motors. The unique movement of the wiper to channel flow inbetween strokes or to reduce aerodynamic drag at certain speeds is explained in the owners manual. I am surprised that so many people who have waited years for their dream machine don’t take the time to learn about it from the manufacturer’s official sources.

It moves between horizontal and vertical for aerodynamics. If it moves to diagonal blocking your view it's broke.

Just picked up my truck today and love it. However I noticed when the blade is coming back up right when it changes direction the rubber blade seems to make a thump on the windshield. I can also see the rubber moving a bit. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!
