Same, my CT arrives Thursday, gonna get a roll of PPF to wrap it asap.Going to go with PPF instead of vinyl wrap. I need more time than 2-3 years, plus I plan on parking outside. I need self healing properties, plus 6-8 years of protection.
very cool!!! that black is elegant... would like to see riding in the city downtown in the night.. how stealth does it appear to be vs city lights background? awesome.Wrap is 3M 2080 Brushed Black Metallic vinyl.
15% tint installed on the front windows. The factory rear window tint was 22.9% so we add 50% tint to get as close to the 15% tint that we put on the front windows. The windshield is 50%.
I’m dying to drive in the bright light of a downtown city. I’ll get to it soonvery cool!!! that black is elegant... would like to see riding in the city downtown in the night.. how stealth does it appear to be vs city lights background? awesome.
Haven’t removed them yetDid you tear off those ugly MTS door decals after you drove off? Or is keeping them on a part of some sort of discounted deal for the vinyl? They kinda an eyesore and ruin the look
Thanks. I’ve never wrapped a vehicle in vinyl. All I’ve ever done is clear PPF. I’ll probably PPF the front of the truck here soon just to play it safeLooks really cool, but Vinyl won't last long and isn't very durable at all. I'm going PPF myself, since it won't be stored indoors, but driven and let outside when I go places. If I ever decide to leave it in a museum on display, I'll go with the vinyl though. Congrats on the truck!
Thank youyes! That's a pretty cool style wrap. I wish the new Stealth gray would look like that.
Congrats
Put that tint shop logo on my truck and catch these hands
Ghost would’ve been nice but I can’t complain. They did an amazing jobThe least they could have done is ghost the logo.
Better have been a MASSIVE discount for that white vinyl.
They’ll be adding the Foundation Series badging here soon and it’s something no one else has done. Stay tunedProbably one of my favorite wraps, I'd probably want something like this except for the detail shop logo on my CT(unless they gave you a huge discount, then it is what it is). Also they covered up the FS lettering. But all around my favor color besides maybe this same style in a olive green.
The irony of "paint protection film" on a cybertruckGoing to go with PPF instead of vinyl wrap. I need more time than 2-3 years, plus I plan on parking outside. I need self healing properties, plus 6-8 years of protection.
I thought the same thing when I heard that in the vid, isn't the wrap supposed to mean I don't have to hover around my car wiping off bird poop within 30s?In regards to your question about care and maintenance, one of the manager's replies are "As long as you keep it inside, you will be good."
Well, not everyone has a garage to keep it in, so it will be outside all the time...
Concerns me a bit about getting a wrap...
