Wraps are a fun novelty, sure, but I'm looking forward to having no worry about paint damage causing rust.

Ugly the hell out of the stainless panels with scuffs, scratches, fingerprints, and oxidation? Who cares. That's simple vanity stuff.

Paying extra to add fragile shell to my vehicle that I need to fret about seems silly.

Unless the wrap is for advertising purposes, I tend to agree.

The very first Delorean I ever saw in person was behind a bank of SLOT machines in a Reno casino. It was painted Ferrari red, and I thought it made the car look just "ordinary".

Paint is ok for Ferraris, but not for Deloreans. I feel the same way about the stainless steel Cybertruck. How do you improve on perfection? Why guild the lily?

I have said this before but for me I look forward to having a truck I can truly take off road without worry of damaging paint. In NC we have miles beautiful offroad trails in the mountain and foothills but are regularly overgrown. Taking a 50 to 80k painted truck\Jeep\Bronco on these trails will most likely lead to scratches and or worse.

The CT will allow me to enjoy more and stress less. A wrap would put me back in the same boat. I'll leave mine good old SS.

The wraps are very cool though. I would have to say my favorite so far is the camo.

While I agree camo in general is a nice look, making a road vehicle harder to see seems very ill advised...
Lol, so matte black is a more visible wrap on macadam (day or NIGHT) then a white/silver black wrap?

When I get dressed in the morning I try to put on some swag, even though I'm virtually indestructible.

Some people want swag.
Just stay away from the kryptonite and you will be fine

Matte black is obviously an ill advised selection for road vehicle as well, wrap or not. Visibility is life and death.
Most skys and surroundings are blue/green/bright.

If anything a matte black vehicle stands out during day time.

At night time, everything is invisible, hence light markers. This isn't a vantablack wrap with ligh deletes.

Funny, I always expect that others seeing me is less important than me seeing them. Maybe its the motorcyclist in me, but I think the moment I stat taking into account the expectation that they see me, that's offloading responsibility for my safety. This doesn't apply to lighting and low light situations like rain, of course.

Some of my riding gear has Foslite trimming, and I've added high reflectivity tape to the rear of my side cases, but for the daytime, none of that matters.

I wont be making my truck any color, but not far safety reasons.

My point is I choose to stay with SS.

Not sure what your point is about my ill advised choice and life threatening post on why I think the camo looks cool. (Looks cool).

Also that mostly white camo will show up just fine and the world will be safe for those that chose it as a wrap but please feel free to list the responsible wrap colors you approve of.

I guess neon orange is okay

Luckily there is day time running lights, and maybe in person the CT is not as “camouflaged” than looking at a picture on the forum, but I’ve looked at some of these wraps with the finer prints and have thought it would definitely take me 1 more second to identify, in the right setting. Such as green camp in bushes etc.

All it takes is someone under the influence or on phone to T-bone your CT and your waiting 4 years for another one.

Probably unlikely, but a possibility.

I just googled painted deloreans.

you just changed my mind about wanting a wrap, I’ll stick with SS
